A Study Of Yu Ji Prefaces

As a master of prose in Yuan Dynasty,Yu Ji created a large number of preamble articles in his lifetime,which are of great literary and historical value.This paper takes the preface of Yu Ji as the research object to explore the ideological content and artistic characteristics of these articles.This paper consists of six parts.The introduction part mainly expounds the significance of the topic,the research status and research methods of the topic.The first part of the text,from the perspective of diachronic,sorts out Yu Ji’s intercourse in different periods of his life,and sorts out his preamps for his friends in different positions when he was in office and when he was in retirement.This paper discusses the creation background,quantity and type of Yu Ji preamble and expounds the influence of friends on the creation of Yu Ji Preamble.The second part takes the preface of poems and the preface of anthologies as the research object,and explains Yu Ji’s poetics thoughts on the origin,patriarchal theory and style theory of poetry.This paper studies Yu Ji’s prose advocate of "unity of prose and Taoism",explains Yu Ji’s thinking on the relationship between national fortune and articles,as well as his opposition to the style of "strange and dangerous and hard and astringent" and his admiration for the style of "clear and common".The third part uses the method of mutual evidence of literature and history to explain the political culture in Yuji’s gift preface,and discusses Yuji’s writing about the education system,the imperial examination system,the sacrifice system,etc.,which reflects Yuji’s views on learning and politics.The fourth part discusses the neo-Confucianism thought embodied in the sequence of classics and the clan thought embodied in the sequence of genealogy of Yuji.The fifth part discusses the writing characteristics of Yuji Xuwen from the aspects of structure,narration and language.
