Eco-translatory is a research paradigm that provides an overview of translation from an ecological perspective, transposing the basic principle of “survival of the fittest”in natural ecology and embedding it in the translation ecosystem, answering the questions of “what, who, how, and why”.In the theory, adaptation and choice are the focus of ecological translation, and "three-dimensional" transformation is the method and means to achieve adaptation and choice.“The Diary of A Nian,a girl from Wuhan” is a book of autobiographical narrative, telling the story of the author,A Nian from Wuhan, and her family during the epidemic in 2020.It is also a story of China in such a special period, which is an important path to prove China’s response to the epidemic.Based on dialogue and narrative, the original text is well-structured in simple and sincere language. The overall language difficulty of the text is moderate, but there are a lot of culture-loaded words and dialogues. So it requires the translator to deliberate the translation of words and sentences according to the context and the cultural background,as well as the language habits of readers of the target text.Taking the Eco-tranlatology rooted in China and its "three-dimensional" conversion as the theoretical guidance and methodology, this report uses “Diary of A Nian,a girl from Wuhan” as the text to explore how the three-dimensional conversion works in the process of C—E translation of literary works, with a view to achieving the greatest possible match between the translated text and the original text.Starting from the perspective of “three-dimensional” conversion, this report combines with concrete translation examples, and lists how the linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions guide translators to choose different translation methods and strategies to make the translation fit the original text in the corresponding dimensions. The translation methods in the linguistic dimension mainly include switching of word order, and recreation. And the main examples in the cultural dimension are culture-loaded words,in which translation strategies, such as naturalization and dissimilation, are mainly used.In addition, the translation methods used in the communicative dimension mainly include addition and omission.
