As a symbol of the maturation of the ancient Chinese literary novel,Legend of the Tang Dynasty reached a new peak of literary achievement and were able to provide the original canon and mother lode for later generations of literary creation.Legend of the Tang Dynasty contain detailed descriptions of the Tang people’s folk costumes,their travels and their culture of make-up.The content is rich and varied,reflecting a wide range of social life and containing a wealth of subject matter and unique cultural connotations,and offers considerable scope for animation adaptation.This paper is a theoretical study and practical exploration of animation modelling design,using The Liu Yi Zhuan of Tang Dynasty Legend as a blueprint.By extracting key words from the text of the Tang saga and comparing historical materials such as wall paintings and silk books from different periods of the Tang dynasty,it analyses the characteristics of character modelling elements such as character proportions,make-up and costume,and scene modelling elements such as architecture and means of travel in different periods,and sorts out and summarises them.At the same time,representative examples of animation design are collected and combined with the background of the Tang legendary period and the form of animation design to refine the positioning of animation design and adopt a fusion of ancient and modern design expressions to create an animation shape that can cater to contemporary aesthetics while highlighting its historical and cultural significance.The aim of this paper is to take animation modelling as an entry point,analyse the characteristics of character modelling and scene prop modelling in various periods of the Tang Dynasty,give them cultural connotations and integrate them with modern aesthetics to create innovative designs.It provides a theoretical reference and practical examples for the creation of animation related to Tang Dynasty culture.It encourages animation creators to explore Chinese cultural connotations from traditional literature,bringing new vitality and vigour to the development of contemporary animation. |
