Study On The Modeling Design Of Drinking Vessels In Tang Dynasty

The design of drinking utensils in the Tang Dynasty is an important part of the history of Tang Dynasty artifacts,and even an important turning point in the history of ancient Chinese artifacts.The development of drinking utensils in the Tang Dynasty was influenced by factors such as the social development of the Tang Dynasty and people’s living habits,aesthetic awareness,and ideas,based on the previous dynasty,resulting in a unique but not isolated style in terms of their appearance.From this,it can be seen that the drinking utensils of the Tang Dynasty not only fulfilled the drinking function,but also contained profound traditional Chinese culture behind them,which has profound research significance.This article takes the shape of drinking vessels in the Tang Dynasty as the research object,and from the perspective of design studies,uses research methods such as literature research,comparative analysis,and image research to study the characteristics of the shape,decoration,and materials of drinking vessels in the Tang Dynasty,as well as the influencing factors of shape design.Firstly,it discusses the background of the Tang Dynasty and the development of drinking vessels,forming a preliminary understanding of the Tang Dynasty drinking vessels;Secondly,research and summarize the shape characteristics,design elements,and human-machine relationships of Tang Dynasty drinking vessels;At the same time,conduct research on decoration and materials in styling design,exploring their development overview and relationship with styling design from the perspectives of decoration themes and composition,as well as the types and significance of material selection;Then,based on this,analyze,sort out,and summarize the factors that influenced the design of drinking utensils in the Tang Dynasty from two aspects: the development of national society and the changes in human life;Finally,summarize the design characteristics and development of drinking utensils in the Tang Dynasty,and their inspiration for modern Chinese design.The conclusion drawn from the research on the design of drinking utensils in the Tang Dynasty is mainly divided into two aspects.The first aspect is the utensil itself,which is the design characteristics of the Tang Dynasty drinking utensils: the utensil shape is plump and full,the decoration is magnificent and novel,the spirit is unique,and the function is user-friendly;The second aspect is the inspiration of the development of artifact modeling for modern Chinese design,which includes adhering to the design concept of human text for the product itself,keeping in mind the mission of inheriting and innovating traditional culture,and adhering to the confidence of openness and inclusiveness for foreign culture.
