| The memory of the background information and details of the events experienced by people, such as the time and place of the event and the related people involved,is called source memory. If people can distinguish and identify the situational sources of the information entering the brain, they can accurately recall the events, thus greatly improving their learning and working efficiency. Therefore, people should not only pay attention to the content of the information they come into contact with every day,but also pay attention to the time, place and way of obtaining the information,so as to improve the accuracy of people’s memory of the required information and corresponding events, and reduce the influence of forgetting and false memory.Previous conclusions on the influence of emotional valence and reference conditions on source memory were inconsistent, and the literature review found that the differences in results were largely due to the differences in materials.Experiment 1 of this study was a two-factor design of 3(valence: positive,neutral,negative)x2(reference condition: self-referential,non-self-referential)to explore the influence of emotional valence and reference condition in picture materials on source memory and metacognitive monitoring.Compared with words of the same type, pictures have an advantage effect,so in experiment 2,experimental materials were replaced with words to explore the influence of emotional valence and reference conditions on source memory and metacognitive monitoring.Experiment 2 was a two-factor in-subject design of 3(valence: positive,neutral,negative)x2(reference conditions: self-reference,non-self-reference).Experiment 3 adopted the same material paradigm as experiment 2,and added a sentence making task.Sentence making belongs to bottom-up processing, which can activate episodic memory. It was explored whether the influence of material difference could be partially weakened under the condition of double processing,so as to make the memory level relatively stable. The results of experiment 1 showed that emotional valence had no effect on source memory, that is,the memory effect was relatively stable.Reference conditions have an effect on source memory, and self-reference conditions have a better performance in source memory. The results of experiment 2 showed that emotional valence affected source memory, and positive words had the best performance in source memory.Reference conditions have an effect on source memory, and self-reference conditions have a better performance in source memory. The results of experiment 3 showed that emotional valence had no effect on source memory, and the memory effect was relatively stable.Reference conditions can affect source memory and self-reference enhancement effect is stable.Through the above three experiments, this study can draw the following conclusions:(1)In the picture materials, emotional valence did not affect the memory performance of the source; In vocabulary materials, emotional valence affects the performance of source memory, and positive words have the best performance in source memory.(2)Self-reference enhanced memory stably existed in source memory;(3)Double encoding effect can be achieved by constructing sentences for vocabulary,so that memory level is relatively stable. |
