| With the rise and development of the May Fourth New Culture Movement,more and more people are involved in promoting the cause of women’s liberation.There was a growing call for women to step out of the home to achieve social openness and financial independence,and journalism was recommended as a career suitable for women.New Journal Ta Kung paid special attention to the recruitment of female intellectuals,Jiang Yixiao joined the Ta Kung Pao at this time and became a field reporter collecting and writing women’s news.Jiang Yixiao is undoubtedly a shining star among the female journalists of Ta Kung Pao.Her career course and major news works "Professional Women’s Life in Tianjin City" and "Shanghai Professional Women’s Interview" are of great significance and value for research.This paper will start from Jiang Yixiao and her news works.To explore Jiang Yixiao’s life experience,the status of professional women in the Republic of China and the characteristics of female journalists’ professionalism.This study will be carried out from the following four parts:The first part will sort out the life experience of the female journalist Jiang Yixiao,and comprehensively analyze and discuss the opportunity of Jiang Yixiao becoming a female journalist and the reason why she chose professional women as the main object of her report,so as to let us have a deeper understanding of the female journalist Jiang Yixiao.The second part will take Jiang Yixiao’s "Professional Women’s Life in Tianjin" and "Shanghai Professional Women’s Interview" as the research object.Firstly,it will briefly explain the overall scale of the report,and then analyze the media images of professional women presented in the report.This part will be carried out from the five dimensions of "career women bound by family","career women with insufficient ability","career women discriminated","successful career women","career women who are sympathized with and recognized".The third part will start from the Angle of professionalization of female journalists,combined with the professional experience of Jiang Yixiao and other female journalists in the Republic of China,to analyze the unique characteristics of professionalization of female journalists compared with male journalists.Through the research,the author finds that journalism is suitable for women to engage in the occupation,but the road of female journalists’ professionalism is more thornier than that of male journalists.In the professional competition,female journalists also play their gender advantages and form their competitiveness by collecting and writing women’s news,and they have a strong sense of professional identity.The fourth part will make a comprehensive summary of this study and draw a conclusion,which will be summarized from three aspects: "Professional female journalist Jiang Yixiao and her historical status","the portrayal of professional women’s ’group image’ in the Republic of China period","the unique professional road of female journalists".The research methods adopted in this paper are mainly literature analysis and content analysis.On the basis of collecting historical materials related to Jiang Yixiao,we also extensively read other historical materials related to the Republic of China to provide support for this research.The innovative point of this study is firstly to comprehensively sort out Jiang Yixiao’s life experience,secondly to summarize the media image presented by professional women through the study of her interview,and finally to analyze the characteristics of the professionalism of female journalists in the Republic of China. |
