Study On The Effect Of The Local Government Digitization Promote The Export Performance

Accelerate the construction of digital government and digital China is one of the strategic requirements and main objectives of economic and social development during the 14 th Five-Year Plan period.To realize the high-quality development of export trade optimization and upgrading is also one of the economic development objectives in recent years.The construction and promotion of digital government is the key content of the "digital China" strategy,which is of great significance for the realization of export quality and efficiency improvement.Based on this,this paper explores the total effect of local government digitization on export performance and the action path of regional quality reputation,which to a certain extent enriche relevant theoretical studies on government governance,international trade and economic benefits of government digitization construction,which will contribute to the further improvement of relevant studies on digital government construction theory and export performance.It has certain guiding significance for provinces and cities to further accelerate the construction of digital government,optimize the regional business environment and regional quality reputation,and realize the high-quality development of export trade to improve quality and efficiency and optimize and upgrade.This paper not only investigates the general situation of the region,but also further studies the particularity of the influence effect of government digitalization on export performance in inland and coastal areas,Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and Yangtze River Delta Economic Belt under different subdivision dimensions,and then finds that the promotion effect of government digitalization on export performance has significant regional non-equilibrium.This will mean that the growth of trade in the inland regions through government digitization can be significantly effective,which in turn provides some useful insights into promoting the transformation and development of the inland regions and high-quality opening up.In order to explore the influence effect of local government digitalization on export performance and the influence path of regional quality reputation,this paper focuses on the construction of domestic digital government,constructs the evaluation system of local government digitalization level,regional quality reputation and export performance index,and selects the 2015-2020 provincial panel data of 30 provinces and cities in China.The two-way fixed effect model was used to empirically test the total effect,mechanism of action and regional heterogeneity of local government digitalization on export performance.Meanwhile,the stochastic frontier model was used to measure export efficiency,and export scale and export technology structure were calculated to comprehensively reflect regional export performance.The mechanism of local government digitalization on export performance was empirically tested.This paper innovatively proposes that regional quality reputation is a possible path and channel for government digitalization to influence export performance,and constructs an index system for measuring regional quality reputation from a broad perspective for the first time,and then empirically analyzes the specific influence mechanism.From the perspective of regional quality reputation,based on the transmission mechanism of alleviating information asymmetry and reducing search costs and marketing costs,The internal logic of government digitalization to promote regional export performance is deeply analyzed.The results show that local government digitalization can significantly expand export scale,improve export efficiency and optimize export technology structure by reducing export cost,increasing export probability,and promote the overall regional export performance.This conclusion is still valid after a series of robustness tests,such as endogeneity processing,changing the measurement method of core explanatory variables and eliminating abnormal samples.Heterogeneity test shows that the driving effect of local government digitalization on export performance shows certain heterogeneity in inland and coastal areas,Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and Yangtze River Delta region.Mechanism test shows that regional quality reputation is an important channel for local government digitalization to promote the improvement of export performance.Government digitalization can enhance regional quality reputation by improving government governance level and optimizing workers’ quality impression,thus significantly expanding export scale,improving export efficiency and optimizing export technology structure,and promoting the improvement of regional overall export performance.Therefore,all provinces and cities should accelerate the construction of digital government and optimize regional quality reputation,so as to improve the quality and efficiency of export trade.
