| Exhibitions serve as important platforms for enterprises to showcase their latest products and technologies, making patent protection a crucial task.During exhibitions, patent protection work requires high levels of professionalism and timeliness.Typically, exhibition organizers establish a dedicated intellectual property(IP)department to handle patent infringement disputes. This department consists of IP management personnel, law enforcement officers, technical experts, and legal experts, aiming to provide exhibitors with rapid, professional, and impartial IP services. The IP department must collaborate closely with other relevant departments to ensure smooth implementation of patent protection work before, during, and after the exhibition. In the pre-exhibition phase, the focus should be on policy promotion, exhibitor qualification review, and agreement on patent protection terms;during the exhibition, the emphasis should be on handling infringement complaints,on-site investigations and enforcement, and mediation;in the post-exhibition phase, the focus should be on infringement data statistics and experience summaries. In the practice of patent protection at exhibitions, several challenges are faced, such as insufficient protection of new technologies, malicious complaints, patent thickets, and controversies over the neutrality of expert opinions. To improve the IP protection system, this thesis proposes a series of measures: for the protection of new technologies, joint efforts from exhibitors, organizers, and legislative departments are required;to address malicious complaints, clear standards should be defined and appropriate measures should be taken;to counter patent thickets,it is recommended that patent administrative departments reduce low-quality patents;regarding the neutrality of expert opinions,it is emphasized that experts should maintain independence and objectivity, balancing the interests of both parties during the assessment process. |
