| The world today is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century.Globalization is gaining momentum.People of all countries have intertwined interests and a shared future.However,mankind also faces common threats that transcend nations,regions and groups of people.No country is immune.In this era,mankind needs a new common value that can arouse the sense of solidarity among countries and mobilize the strength of people around the world to jointly meet challenges,promote global development and enhance the well-being of mankind.At the same time,China is moving closer to the center of the world stage and should offer more wisdom and solutions for mankind to cope with the existential crisis and development dilemma.In this context,Xi Jinping put forward the common values of peace,development,fairness,democracy and freedom for all mankind,which anchor the course of global development and guide a better future for mankind.Based on this,this study takes Xi Jinping’s series speeches on the common value of mankind as the entry point,systematically adopts the methods of literature analysis,comparative research and interdisciplinary research,and summarizes the formation conditions,main content and basic characteristics,theoretical value and practical significance,and practical path of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on the common value of mankind.The whole paper consists of four chapters except the introduction.The first chapter explains the formation of Xi Jinping’s important argument about the common value of mankind by analyzing the theoretical source,the historical background and the formation process.The second chapter discusses the main contents and basic characteristics of Xi Jinping’s important exposition on the common value of mankind.It explains the main contents of the common value of mankind from three aspects: "peace and development are our common cause","fairness and justice are our common ideal","democracy and freedom are our common pursuit",and unification of populism and progressiveness,inheritance and innovation.The unity of inclusiveness and openness explains the basic characteristics of the common value of mankind from three aspects,and explains the difference between the common value of mankind and the universal value from four aspects: philosophical basis,intrinsic characteristics,strategic purpose and practical path.This chapter is also the focus of the full text.The third chapter analyzes the significance of Xi Jinping’s exposition on the common value of mankind.Based on the above analysis,the fourth chapter proposes to advocate the common value of mankind from four aspects: accelerating the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind,fulfilling the responsibilities of major countries,promoting exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations,and strengthening communication capacity building,so as to promote solidarity and cooperation among all countries,share rights and responsibilities,and jointly create a better future. |
