Entering the new era,"good life" has become the realistic expression of the most expected and ideal life pattern of the Chinese people.The latest understanding and exploration of the Chinese Communist Party on the good life reflects the inheritance and innovation of the Marxist good life view,and the conscious creation of all the people on the good life is the ceaselessly and expansion of the historical practice of Marxist sinicization.Freedom is the basis and important content of creating a better life.People’s yearning for and pursuit of a better life cannot be separated from ideological,conceptual or spiritual freedom,nor can it be separated from the relaxed and free environment provided by fair and reasonable social rules and institutions.More importantly,more freedom needs to be created in practice.Freedom is neither pure free will nor absolute freedom in spirit,nor unfettered in the negative sense,nor capricious and random in individual subjectivity.On the contrary,freedom is always rational.It is people’s mastery and control of the laws on the basis of a profound understanding and grasp of the objective laws of the world or the operation of things,that is,it embodies the understanding of necessity and the transformation of the world.In Marxist historical materialism,human freedom is a process of historical generation.People have higher and higher freedom to practice and create a good life on the basis of understanding and grasping the objective law of the world or the operation of things,and a good life is destined to be more and more free.Fundamentally speaking,the historical awakening of people’s concept of freedom stimulates the yearning and pursuit of a better life,while the historical improvement of freedom in the process of transforming the objective world promotes the comprehensive development of people’s freedom,and people’s leap from the kingdom of necessity to the kingdom of freedom marks the creation of a better life into the highest realm.The reason why Chinese Communists have been able to lead the Chinese people in creating a better life is that they have adhered to the scientific Marxist worldview and methodology to understand and transform the world,correctly grasped the laws governing the Communist Party of China,the laws governing socialist construction,and the laws governing the historical development of human society,constantly deepened reform,and dismantled old concepts,systems and mechanisms.Taking the road of Chinese modernization,we regard people’s longing for and pursuit of a better life as our original mission.In the new era,people have an increasingly solid foundation,favorable environment and favorable conditions for the creation of a better life,but at the same time,they are also faced with the constraints caused by the unbalanced and inadequate economic and social development of the whole country,and are bound by some traditional and rigid ideas,systems and mechanisms.It is limited by necessity due to the incomplete understanding of the law of natural and social development.Only in this way can we create a better life in history,continuously improve the level of freedom of a better life,and realize the free and comprehensive development of everyone in history.
