Research On Employment Ability Problems And Strategies Of Higher Vocational College Students

The difficulty of finding employment for college students has always been an important issue that troubles universities and society,and the problem of finding employment for college students in vocational colleges is particularly prominent.In recent years,China’s economic and social development has suffered a huge blow from the COVID-19.The national economic situation is not optimistic,which directly leads to the current employment situation showing a very serious situation.At the same time,with the leapfrog development of higher education in China,the number of college students in vocational colleges is increasing day by day,the scale of graduates is constantly increasing,and the job market is becoming increasingly saturated;In addition,the level of talent demand in today’s social development is constantly increasing,and there is still a gap between the abilities of vocational college students and the demand of the employment market,which also leads to the inability of vocational college students to obtain employment smoothly.Therefore,improving the employment ability of vocational college graduates,cultivating their comprehensive qualities,and helping them enhance their employment competitiveness have become one of the important tasks currently facing higher education,and also an urgent need to be addressed.The main research methods used in this article include literature analysis,questionnaire survey,and interview methods,taking Zhejiang D College as the research object,and applies vocational education theory,competency theory,career theory,etc.to study the cultivation of employment ability of vocational college graduates.The main content includes six parts.The first chapter is an introduction,which explains the background of the problem,The purpose and significance of the research on the issue is to summarize the current research status of the employability of vocational college students by consulting a large number of domestic and foreign literature,and the research methods,ideas,and innovative points of this article are determined.Chapter 2 is a study of relevant concepts and theories,clarifying the meanings of vocational education and college students’ employability,and introducing career theory,competency theory,vocational education theory,etc.,laying a theoretical foundation for the following research.The third chapter is an analysis of the current employment situation of Zhejiang D College and the quality of employment for college students in Zhejiang D College,summarizing the current problems faced by college students in employment.Based on the current employment situation,clarify the structural elements of college students’ employability,and research and design a questionnaire on the employability status of college students in Zhejiang D University.Chapter 4 analyzes the problems of employment ability of vocational college students based on the data from the questionnaire survey,mainly including weak comprehensive literacy,poor general ability,insufficient professional ability,weak career planning ability,etc.The influencing factors are analyzed from multiple dimensions of government,universities,employers,and students: imperfect government policies,unclear talent training goals in universities,insufficient cooperation between schools and enterprises Unreasonable professional settings,insufficient employment guidance services,lack of talent cultivation awareness in employers,employment discrimination,and weak personal comprehensive literacy of students.Chapter 5 is a study on the strategies for improving the employability of vocational college students.This article proposes how to improve the employability of vocational college students from four levels: government improvement of employment policies,school reform of talent training models,strengthening of employment guidance for graduates,strengthening of talent exploration awareness by employers,and personal transformation of employment concepts by students Develop career planning and other suggestions and strategies.Finally,there is the conclusion and vision for future development.
