With the popularization and development of the Internet, especially after the emergence of new network products such as "we media",it has become more and more serious. As a new public opinion platform that can freely express personal views,we media can enable people to widely participate in the discussion,so that some opinions can be continuously fermented. We media has become an important media in the "public sphere".When people are used to publishing cases on the We Media platform, the unfair factors will cause a storm of online public opinion at any time, and people will turn from paying attention to facts to venting their emotions.Under the influence of network virtuality and the characteristics of de accountability, people have become unscrupulous in public opinion expression.the negative emotions of the public have become more obvious, the instability of the public emotions has intensified, the polarization of online speech groups has become more rapid and difficult to control at all stages of development, and the distrust of public authorities has deepened, leading to doubts about the fairness of the trials of influential judicial cases. This article takes the public opinion in the We Media era as the breakthrough point, and combines the information cocoon room theory, echo chamber effect, and selective contact theory of journalism and communication,to study the generation and development of public opinion in the new era and its impact on the judiciary, and analyze the new features emerging when public opinion is expressed through the We Media platform.Through research,it can be found that the public’s information needs are not comprehensive. In the age of big data,we media platforms recommend news content to users according to their personal preferences.Over time, although the Internet connects the world, most users’ cognitive scope is unconsciously limited to a "cocoon room".The echo chamber effect and the information cocoon room are like twins.People’s information and ideas will continue to strengthen in a closed circle, unconsciously looking for information that can strengthen their existing views,so that they unconsciously exercise confirmation bias.Similarly, when hot cases ferment on the We Media platform, the "truth" that the public can perceive is shackled to the self constructed environment.Under the relevant theory of information cocoon room and echo room effect,it can be seen that emotional and irrational online public opinion is growing at a speed that can be seen by the naked eye, thus promoting the individual emotion to group emotion, rational speech and thinking to irrational state, and people’s cognition gradually closed loop, becoming submissive. In addition, through the analysis of influential criminal cases in recent years, and the comparison of two criminal cases with similar circumstances but different results,we can analyze the impact of public opinion and media on justice.Admittedly, online public opinion cannot be avoided, but it is expected that through research,we can grasp the formation mechanism of extreme emotional online public opinion, and try our best to ease the tension between public opinion and justice,so as to enhance judicial credibility and build a harmonious society with orderly justice.
