Study On Youths’ Awareness Of National Security In B City From The Perspective Of Related Promotion Countermeasures

The issue of national security is put on priority by both the current interior strategic overall situation of the national rejuvenation and the external profound shifts unseen for a century in the world.The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out : "National security is the foundation of national rejuvenation,…… We must unswervingly implement Holistic approach to national security,enhance the national security awareness and literacy of the entire population,and build a solid national security people’s defense." The youths play important roles in construction and development of the country,so one of our goals in the new era is to make the youths be hard cores of safeguarding national security and interests through raising their related awareness.As a city,the B city is rich in youths population who are responsible for maintaining social stability and safeguarding homeland ’ s security.The B city will benefit from the national security awareness-uplifted youths in such following fields as keeping social stability,promoting prosperity and development as well as safeguarding national security and interests.Being based on how to promote youths’ awareness of national security,this paper talks about relevant core concepts and concerned theories.This paper also takes two measures including questionnaire survey and field research to get the present conditions of youths’ awareness of national security in B city.According to the overall surveys and evaluations,it can be concluded that the youths in B city have good awareness of national security generally.While there are some weaknesses such as: poor attention to related national security issues,insufficient focus on the nontraditional security fields,lack in strong awareness of feasible safeguarding the national security.And there are complex and various related factors which exist in youths selves,education and society.The youths selves factors include the personal mission and responsibility,knowledge of national security,realistic needs and life pressures.The educational factors include the attention to the national security education,teaching system design and education position construction.The social factors include the severe security situations at home and abroad,strike of diversified values and challenges emerging in the field of information network.In order to mobilize the youths in B city to participate actively in the maintenance of national security construction,and aim at above questions,this paper focuses on the following three aspects: taking advantage of youths’ initiative,educational subject role and governmental leading role,to raise solutions to enhancing the youths’ awareness of national security in B city.
