| With the development of internationalization and commercialization of modern competitive sports, football known as the "world’s first sport" has attracted more and more fans from all over the world. However, because football is a sport that requires extreme physical strength and explosive power,it has been closely linked to "males" since its birth, and women in the fan group have also conflicted with the "masculinity" in football values:At present, the number of female groups entering the sports field and directly or indirectly participating in football has increased, but they still face prejudice and stereotypes of women from history. In this study, the author takes the female football fans of the German Bundesliga Football club Bayern Munich as the research object, tracking their performances on social media like Weibo,We Chat, and some vertical football applications. Some of them were chosen for interviews.By conducting the interviews,I try to gain an in-depth understanding of Chinese female fans who love European football and use the Internet to build their subjectivity. For instance, the origin of Chinese female football fans’ interests, their pursuit of European football, special preferences, gender dilemmas, and efforts to address gender challenges are included. On this basis,by analyzing the online social behavior of female fans,I analyze how they rationalize the construction of the dual identity of "female" and "football fans",and how to bring the experience of female fans into Public discourse. This research is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduces the origin, research significance, research design, and difficulties and innovations of the research. The second part of the literature review focuses on gender studies and feminist media.Gender research, fan culture, sports fans and other research materials are sorted out.Chapter III introduces the female fans’ own fan experience and the dilemma faced by them.Chapter IV is based on the theory of gender gaze, media consumption, group construction, value pursuit and identity, explaining the female fans’ attempts to construct their own subjectivity in participating in football.Chapter five uses two perspectives,"compromise" and "contest",to show the discourse strategy that female fans often used in the process of rationalizing their fan status.Chapter 6 summarizes and reflects on this research. |
