As the decentralization of the Internet changes the mass media,the youth subculture gets a freer development environment.Doujin is one of the typical cultures spread among young people.Although there are still many disputes on its copyright and commercialization,which affects its development.However,the environment of game doujin is often much more relaxed than others,and even many game operators encourage doujin creation.This relates to the difference of game works and others,making the interaction in communities become a topic of many concerns.Therefore,this paper builds a framework based on Randall Collins’ interactive ritual chain,aiming to explore the mechanism of IR chains in game doujin communities.Before working on,this paper defines the core concepts.With the development of doujinshi,the concept of doujin has changed greatly.Therefore,it is pointed out that the "doujin" studied in this paper is "recreation based on existing works or people and things in the real world".Based on this definition and the basic introduction of the interactive ritual chain theory,the framework of this paper is proposed.The research is mainly carried out in the following steps.First of all,this paper summarizes the basic situation of the mainstream game doujin communities in China,as well as the interactive behaviors in them.By referring to the offline IRs,the framework of interaction is obtained.This paper summarizes three core variables,"ritual element","interactive behavior" and "ritual effect",and puts forward the research hypothesis: the causal relationship of IR chain is established in the game doujin community.Secondly,questionnaire survey is used to evaluate the users’ level of each variable.Pearson correlation coefficient and regression equation are used to calculate the correlation between variables.The results showed that the presence,focus and shared mood were positively correlated with the interaction behavior,as well as interaction behavior and ritual effect.However,the correlation between barrier and the interaction behavior was not fully supported.Thirdly,this paper analyzes the mechanism of IR chain in the game doujin community.The realization of virtual presence,the focus of attention and the amplification effect of shared mood construct IR,while barrier is weakened by the openness of Internet.Interaction ritual produces ritual effect and reacts on ritual elements in turn,thus establishing the causal cycle.With the occurrence of numerous IR chains,the interactive ritual market gradually takes shape,among which emotional energy and identity capital are two important circulation resources.Finally,this paper summarizes the research conclusions,and puts forward suggestions to promote the development of game doujin community and promote interactive activity. |
