A Study On College Students’ Frustration Resistance

In the background of college students’ mental health becoming more and more important,frustration resistance,as an important ability affecting college students’ psychological quality,has been paid more and more attention by the country and society.In January 2021,the Ministry of Education proposed that colleges and universities should build frustration education and teaching system,strengthen frustration education for college students,focus on improving students’ ability to deal with setbacks,and optimize their psychological quality.Therefore,the problem of college students’ frustration resistance has been brought into the national education strategy level,and it has become crucial to understand the development of college students’ frustration resistance.Referring to Yan Guocai’s concept of frustration resistance,this study defines frustration resistance as a psychological and behavioral ability of individuals to deal with setbacks,including frustration tolerance and frustration transcendence,covering cognitive,emotional,will,behavior and other aspects.At present,foreign research on setback resistance has been expanded from setback resistance to related fields,paying more attention to the research on setback resistance of marginal groups such as children in orphanages and the research and development of related measurement instruments.Domestic researches on frustration resistance mostly focus on the investigation of student groups.The research on frustration resistance of college students mainly focuses on frustration resistance ability and frustration tolerance.There is a lack of systematic research on frustration resistance,which needs to be supplemented by follow-up research.Based on this,this study attempts to study the current development status of college students’ frustration tolerance,find out the problems existing in college students’ frustration tolerance and put forward relevant countermeasures,so as to provide reference opinions for the development of college students’ frustration education and mental health education,and promote college students to achieve better development.From static and dynamic perspectives,this study explores the static frustration resistance of college students in their daily life and the dynamic frustration resistance shown in the actual frustration,obtains the realistic situation of college students’ frustration resistance,finds some problems,and obtains the current psychological status of college students from the side.In terms of specific steps,firstly,the research on setback resistance at home and abroad is sorted out,and the research trends and characteristics are summarized,so as to determine the research direction and problems of this study.Secondly,by referring to relevant literature,an authoritative scale suitable for the measurement of college students’ frustration resistance is found,which is adapted and tested based on the psychological characteristics of college students and the characteristics of their environment.Finally,a college students’ frustration resistance survey scale suitable for this study is formed.Then,on the basis of this,a questionnaire survey was conducted on 558 college students from four universities in Yunnan Province,and the survey information was analyzed to obtain the relevant results: In terms of the level of frustration resistance,the current college students’ frustration resistance is average,in the middle level,there are more students with poor frustration resistance,and fewer students with good frustration resistance.In the dimension of frustration tolerance,the objective frustration cognitive emotion of college students is the best,followed by individual frustration cognitive emotion,self-control and decisiveness are the worst,and the ability of self-consciousness and frustration coping is average.In terms of the nature of frustration resistance,frustration resistance is a dynamic and stable capacity structure,which will constantly grow and turn into a dynamic capacity structure in actual setbacks,and form a structural relationship with resilience.In terms of the difference of frustration resistance,freshmen have better frustration resistance than juniors and seniors,their frustration cognition and self-control are better than seniors,their self-consciousness is better than sophomores and juniors,their frustration solving ability is better than juniors,and their objective frustration cognition and emotion are better than seniors.College students from parents and single-parent families have better frustration resistance and objective frustration cognitive emotion than those from reorganized families.College students who grow up in cities have better frustration resistance and self-control than those who grow up in rural areas and towns,and their individual frustration cognition and emotion are better than those who grow up in rural areas.In terms of the influencing factors of frustration tolerance,the interview found that college students’ frustration tolerance would be affected by their own(cognitive emotion,experience and personal efforts),family(upbringing and school education),school(frustration support and frustration education),society(frustration concept and support),frustration itself and other factors.According to the results of the investigation,the research finally found that college students’ frustration resistance level is average,the quality of will is poor,tend to internal attribution,easy to suffer from emotional interference,not good at looking for support,poor peripheral support environment and other problems,and these problems are mainly related to their own characteristics and external environment.Down resistance force for college students the problems,finally this study respectively from five aspects: put forward the advice and strategies of improving the setback endurance of university students: first,in terms of nations,countries must be good at play a role of leading ideology,Increase funding for frustration education in colleges and universities,to policy support,promote the sound development of the university down resistance force.Second,in terms of college students,college students should form good frustration cognition and emotion,enhance their will quality and frustration solving ability,learn to seek support,and improve their knowledge and emotion ability to deal with setbacks.One is to establish a positive setback recognition,learn to treat setbacks correctly;Second,to improve the ability to deal with frustration,learn to accept emotions reasonably,do a good job in emotional processing;The third is to strengthen the will exercise,enhance the cognitive,emotional,behavioral aspects of the will;Fourth,we should learn to look for support,enhance the amount of resistance to setbacks,so as to improve the resistance to setbacks.Thirdly,in terms of family,families should learn to attach importance to the influence of family,give full play to the educational function of family,and rely on a variety of methods to improve college students’ resistance to frustration.One is to implement good family education and frustration education to promote the good growth of college students’ resistance to frustration;Second,to provide frustration support and trust,enhance the strength of college students to deal with setbacks.Fourthly,schools should make good use of various educational forces to carry out frustration education for college students,so as to cultivate and enhance their frustration tolerance.First,we should pay more attention to the students with poor resistance to frustration and pay attention to the cultivation and improvement of this part of the students’ resistance to frustration.Second,we should learn to use related frustration course resources to implement frustration education and cultivate college students’ frustration tolerance.The third is to build an effective and normalized frustration support system,so that students can get effective frustration help when they encounter setbacks.Fifth,in the social aspect,the society should form a good environment conducive to the development of college students’ frustration resistance,provide them with appropriate frustration support,and enhance their frustration resistance.
