People always full of lovely dreams to the future and wish everything run suuessfully, which can be a positive psychological trend. Everyone, however, is supposed to be prepared for dealing with difficulties and setbacks as an important part of school education, mental and moral character education has characteristics of practice, throng and relation, which have unique superiority in terms of cultivating students'resistame against setbacks. The essential responsibility of mental and moral curriculum in to cultivate students, strong—mind, train themselves, perfect themselves and surpass themselves. Under the mental and moral teaching in Grade seven, this paper analyses the types and reasons of setbacks that students in Grade seven often come across, as well as the responses to setbacks, harm setbacks lead to. After that, scores of countermeasures are brought forward in order to impede students'resistame against setbacks. This might make further steps to raise the effectiveness of mental and moral curriculum.
