The core of STEM education is to break the original subject teaching mode,create real problem situations,and cultivate students’ interdisciplinary awareness and comprehensive quality.Micro project learning is a chemical inquiry activity that explores solutions and obtains the final project results through situational theme tasks and in groups according to the clues provided.Both emphasize the cultivation of innovative spirit and practical ability in the process of solving real problems,which is consistent with the cultivation of people with all-round development advocated by the Chinese students’ core literacy group and the appeal of cultivating high-quality talents proposed in the 13th five year plan for educational informatization.This study attempts to integrate stem concept with micro project learning,and develop micro project cases based on stem concept,in order to provide reference for junior middle school chemistry teaching.This study uses the literature research method to sort out the research status of stem and micro project learning,and define the stem concept,micro project learning and other related concepts.Under the guidance of constructivism theory,humanism theory and multiple intelligences theory,this paper analyzes the learning Clements of stem and micro project,and determines the micro project elements based on stem concept as goal,situation,content,task,achievement and evaluation.Infiltrate the elements into the implementation process,build a junior middle school chemistry micro project model based on stem concept and explain it.According to the design principles,three micro project cases based on stem concept,such as "entering the water world","low-carbon action,you and me" and "exploration of combustion regulation",were developed and practiced in a middle school in Yinchuan city.In practice,students record the learning process through the project list,and teachers quantitatively evaluate students’performance through classroom evaluation gauges.After the practice,use the questionnaire survey method to analyze the practice effect;Interview teachers and individual students involved in the implementation of the project to obtain improvement suggestions;Finally,the practical effect is obtained and summarized.The results show that it is feasible and effective to infiltrate stem concept and cultivate interdisciplinary consciousness and comprehensive ability with micro project learning as the carrier;Based on the design principles of life,inspiration,cooperation and comprehensiveness,it can guide teachers to select the content of micro projects;The micro project implementation process based on stem concept is conducive to infiltrating scientific knowledge and revealing engineering thinking;Micro project activities with real situation as the carrier and cooperative exploration as the means are conducive to highlighting the dominant position of students and cultivating stem comprehensive literacy;The micro project evaluation based on the production of works and multi-dimensional feedback is conducive to strengthening the application of technology and improving the ability of migration and application.Therefore,the micro project based on stem concept has certain practical and promotional value in junior middle school chemistry teaching.
