A Case Study Of Social Work Intervening In Repairing The Parent-child Relationship Of Criminal Minors

The family is the primary place for the re-socialization of juvenile delinquents and the family environment has a very important influence on the re-socialization of juvenile delinquents.Good family environment and harmonious family atmosphere can better help juvenile delinquents face up to and accept their deviant past and encourage themselves to face the future life positively.Bad family environment and tense family atmosphere easily lead to juvenile delinquents to give up the opportunity of "new life" and embark on the road of illegal crime again.It is found that family relationship is one of the important influencing factors of juvenile delinquency.Therefore,in order to reduce the probability of juvenile delinquency,we should start from its source and help juvenile delinquency to improve family relations.Satya family therapy model plays an important role in family therapy.It has a unique value concept,complete treatment system and highly professional technology and tools to improve family relationship,which can effectively solve family relationship problems fundamentally.The service object in this paper is A criminal minor who was sentenced to 3 years and suspended for 2 years for intentional injury.During home visits,social workers learned that his relationship with his parents was extremely strained,and that the parent-child relationship was almost broken.In order to help the service object A go through the correction period smoothly and reduce the probability of her committing A crime again,the social worker decided to carry out systematic individual case treatment to help her improve her family relationship.In the process of individual case treatment,social workers integrate satya family therapy mode into the process of social work intervention,and organically combine the two.Social workers use the family tree and influence wheel diagram in satya family therapy mode to comprehensively collect and sort out the relevant information of the service object A,and on the basis of analysis,formulate the corresponding service plan and treatment plan according to the actual situation of A’s family.In the implementation stage of the plan,social workers helped the clients and their parents improve their sense of self-worth through 11 intervention activities by using meditation,temperature reading and other technical tools,and guided them to change their communication attitude,learn to communicate in a consistent manner,and establish benign family rules.In the case intervention for six months,the social worker not only improved the parent-child relationship of the service object A,but also stabilized the whole family system,improved the problem-solving ability of the family system,and established A strong guarantee for the family’s future development.Such A series of changes not only provided A positive family growth environment for the service object A,but also helped A get rid of some of his bad habits and greatly reduced the possibility of A committing A crime again.Social workers hope that the case studied in this paper can provide a valuable reference for Chinese social work to intervene in the parent-child relationship of juvenile delinquents,and also provide a local experience for social workers to apply the Satya family therapy model to individual family therapy.
