| Because women have the dual identity of material producer and social re producer, their income has always been widely concerned by scholars.Chinese women have always played a role no weaker than men in the labor market, but due to various restrictions, women’s labor participation rate and employment rate are lower than men’s labor force, which has always been a common problem faced by countries all over the world.Under the background of more and more flexible forms of employment and employment of women under the Internet, women will no longer be able to obtain selfemployment, which will inevitably lead to more and more flexible employment opportunities and employment opportunities under the influence of the traditional economic platform. The widespread use of the Internet has broken the traditional labor market model, not only providing more employment opportunities, but also reducing the threshold for workers to enter the labor market, which provides job opportunities for female workers to give consideration to family and work.In particular, women can effectively use their spare time through the Internet,so as to stimulate women’s strength to the greatest extent. Therefore, the study of the impact of Internet use on women’s income is conducive to explore the factors affecting women’s income. From the perspective of whether female workers sign labor contracts or not, this paper studies the impact of the length and purpose of Internet use on women’s income.Firstly, this paper selects the data of China Household tracking survey(CFPS)in 2018 and the data of China Internet development report.Based on the two-step least squares(2SLS)statistical analysis model, this paper introduces the characteristics of female workers at different levels of individuals and society as the control variables, and not only focuses on the impact of Internet use time and uses(learning, work, social, entertainment and business activities)on the income of female workers,It also analyzes the impact of female workers’ education, working hours and social status on women’s income, mainly from the following aspects: 1.The impact of Internet use time on women’s income;2.The impact of Internet use on women’s income.Secondly,in order to test whether the research results of this paper are robust, this paper uses different regression methods, namely model replacement method,to test the robustness. The empirical results show that the use of the Internet for learning, work, social and business activities is significantly conducive to the increase of women’s income, and the use of internet entertainment and the use time of the Internet have no significant impact on women’s income.Other control variables working hours, social status, highest education, health status and whether to sign a labor contract all have a significant impact on women’s income.According to the results of empirical analysis, this paper puts forward relevant policy suggestions for the government, enterprises and individuals.First, government departments should provide policies and measures for women’s employment;Secondly,Internet enterprises should improve their employment and work system;Thirdly, encourage entrepreneurship through the Internet; Finally, women should be aware of the advantages and disadvantages of the Internet, fully aware of the advantages of online connection in learning, work, social and commercial activities, seek advantages and avoid disadvantages, and avoid indulging in entertainment. |
