The Relationship Between Time Perspective And Internet Fiction Addiction Of College Students

The development of the Internet attributes the derivation new forms of tradition things,the combination of traditional literary with the Internet gives birth to Internet fiction.As the daily entertainment of most college students,Internet fiction is very common.Internet fictions take the Internet as the spreading media,be approached by college students through various electrical screens,whether college students can maintain a healthy reading behavior has become a social concern.This study focuses on whether college students are addicted to Internet fictions,specifically,why college students read Internet fictions,what Internet fictions attract college students through,which kind of college students will be attracted.In view of this problem,this study combines the previous researches and related researches to carry on the theory discrimination,whether different time perspective orientation has influence on individual's addiction to Internet fictions,specifically,how does the risk time perspective and the protective time perspective affect the addiction to Internet fictions,and then this study discusses its influence mechanism with the related theories and literatures,including mediating effect of the reading motivation and the serial mediating effect of flow experience and reading motivation.Afterwards,by convenient sampling method,825 college students from two colleges in Jingzhou City were selected,and 803 valid questionnaires were attained.Four questionnaires were used in this study: Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory,the Internet Fiction Addiction Scale,the Flow Experience Scale and the Internet Literature Reading Motivation Questionnaire.The questionnaires were sorted and summarized,and the data results were analyzed and modeled by SPSS24.0 and Mplus7.0.The conclusions are as follows:(1)It's very common for college students read Internet fictions,and the phenomenon of addiction does exist.(2)Risk-time perspective of college students can positively predict the addiction of Internet fictions significantly.(3)Risk-time perspective can affect the addiction to Internet fictions either through the mediating role of reading motivation or through the serial mediating effect of flow experience and reading motivation.As written above,this study clarified the existence of the phenomenon of addiction to Internet fictions,and theoretically discussed its influencing factors and mechanisms.Through empirical research,it verified that risk-time perspective affects Internet fiction addiction through immersion-the sequential intermediary role of reading motivation,it then provided ideas for subsequent researches and the prevention and intervention of the Internet fiction addiction.
