| Chemistry Curriculum Standards for General High Schools(2017 Edition,2020Revision)clearly points out that emphasis should be placed on attainment-based teaching and the creation of real problem situations should be advocated.Knowledge of elemental compounds is an important carrier of cultivating students’ core accomplishment of subject, which can help students establish correct view of matter, element, classification and transformation.Through analysis,it is found that there are some problems in the current teaching of elements and compounds in senior high schools, such as single teaching method, trivial teaching content and teaching situation deviating from the reality of life.Project-based learning is a teaching mode that enables students to actively participate in projects with "real situation".It is an effective means to integrate the development of discipline core literacy and has important value in high school chemistry teaching. In this context, this study attempts to apply project-based learning to the teaching of elemental compound knowledge in high school, develop corresponding curriculum cases, and carry out teaching implementation and evaluation.First of all, through consulting a large number of literature and books, the research status of "project-based learning" and "element compound" are respectively reviewed to clarify their concepts and connotations, and then to clarify the purpose, content and methods of the research. Then,on the basis of summarizing the existing research, the design ideas and principles of project-based learning are summarized, and corresponding teaching strategies are formulated :(1)selecting project themes and clarifying project objectives;(2)Creating problem situations and clarifying project tasks;(3)Forming study groups to implement project tasks;(4)Carrying out results reporting and promoting knowledge integration;(5)Adopting diverse evaluation to promote the development of teachers and students. Then, through the form of student questionnaire survey and teacher interview, the existing problems in the current knowledge teaching of high school elemental compounds are explored, and the "chlorine and its compounds" is taken as an example to apply project-based learning to the knowledge teaching of high school elemental compounds.Through the analysis of the contents of the project, the teaching objectives were formulated, the project theme of "Exploring the mystery of chlorine-containing disinfectant" was designed and developed, and the project was divided into three sub-projects: "Exploring the composition and properties of 84 disinfectant","Exploring the preparation of 84disinfectant" and "exploring other chlorine-containing disinfectants".In order to make up for the shortage of the current high school elemental compound knowledge teaching, and to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the project-based learning teaching principles and strategies, the experimental method was used to carry out the teaching practice of "project-based learning based on high school elemental compounds”.After the practice, through the analysis of students’ test scores and interview results,it is found that the teaching principles and strategies of projectbased learning have certain feasibility and effectiveness, which not only improves students’ learning enthusiasm and academic performance, but also enriches high school chemistry. It also cultivates the core literacy of chemistry while enabling students to acquire knowledge and improve their comprehensive ability. |
