With the development of the Internet,online shopping has greatly enriched people’s lives,but many criminals used online shopping channels to defraud the masses.By October 2020,the Research Report on the Governance of Telecommunication Network Fraud in the New Situation released by CAICT showed that China’s information and communication industry had handled 1.53 billion cases of fraud-related network resources,of which up to 40% were financial fraud cases related to fake customer service.From the viewpoint of the age of online shopping users,there is a penetration of the group defrauded to the lower age,with 68% of the“post-90s” and “post-00s”.From the industry distribution,though college students as a high quality population,the frequency of fraud remains high.The frequent and harmful situation of financial online shopping fraud cases among college students has drawn wide attention from the government and society.In this study,it is necessary to use a mixed research method to conduct a questionnaire survey on college students and make it inter-evidence with typical cases in order to deeply investigate the deception factors of college students in fake customer service online claim cases.At the quantitative level,this research collected 518 questionnaires through a snowball sampling method.According to the statistics,even after receiving anti-fraud education,8% of college students are still cheated and cause financial losses,more than 30% of college students become potential targets of fraud.Among the correlations of fraudulent factors,the perceived degree of online shopping consumption of the fraudulent population showed significant strong correlations with the degree of daily online shopping self-control,online shopping customer service hint degree,and the degree of platform and customer service trust.In the binary Logistic regression model of whether cheated or not,factors such as daily online shopping self-control degree,online shopping customer service hint degree,platform and customer trust degree were significant.The degree of online shopping consumption perception was not significant.At the qualitative level,this research analysed the typical cheating cases of college students through interviews.In order to find the internal factors of cheating,this research made a cognitive choice chain of college students and a hint chain of fake customer service help financial social workers to understand the victim’s thoughts and choices at that time.In the case,although the interviewed college students have received a higher education,they fell into the scam due to their weak self-control of online shopping consumption,the suggestion and temptation of fake customer service,the blind spot of financial cognition.In the long-term online shopping environment,college students’ irrational thinking,such as order compliance,ignorance and exaggeration of faults allow fake customer service to take advantage of multiple lures,universal choice,and monetary transaction trust to fraud.From the perspective of financial social work,low level of financial literacy,verbal cues from others,and weak self-control were closely related to behavioral choice.Therefore,it is necessary to optimize their cognitive and behavioral choices.In other words,social workers,colleges,universities and families should work together to form rational financial guidance for college students,restrain online shopping consumption,and improve self-prevention.In addition,the intervention of financial social work should avoid secondary damage.Financial social workers should enhance their financial literacy oriented to financial awareness,develop rational thinking and resilience.From the policy advocacy,financial and network social workers should empower to college students who were seriously cheated and form a multi-level governance model(from department to market,from market to society)to build a safe system for college students’ online shopping.
