A Practical Study Of Group Work To Relieve The Stress Of Family Caregivers Of The Disabled Elderly

With the rapid aging of China’s population,the scale of the disabled elderly is expanding.As the main force to take care of them,family caregivers are under great physical,psychological and social pressure during the long-term care process.These have a serious impact on the physical and mental health of family caregivers.Therefore,it has become an important research topic to use scientific methods to relieve the pressure and improve the quality of care for the disabled elderly.This paper takes the family caregivers of the disabled elderly in D Street as the research object,takes social learning theory and social support theory as the guidance,and uses group work method to intervene them,in order to understand the effect and effect of group work on the stress relief of these family caregivers.In the process of actual intervention,data were collected by using Zarit care-burden scale,questionnaire and unstructured interview,and it was found that these caregivers had high stress in physical,psychological,work and social aspects.On this basis,in order to relieve the pressure faced by family caregivers,the "Ease for Love" stress relief group was established.After six group sessions,the caregivers’ stress levels were assessed to be reduced,and the group was generally more productive.Group work interventions reduce physical and mental health risks for caregivers of disabled older adults.The homogeneity of group members is high,and the scientific application of social work methods makes group activities achieve good service results.In order to give full play to the effectiveness of the service,some aspects can be improved,such as enriching the work content of the group;Reasonable arrangement of group activity cycle;In order to promote the application and development of group work in the stress relief of family caregivers of disabled elderly people,the reliability and validity of assessment results were improved.
