| In 2016,the "Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on the Promotion of Campus Basketball Pilot Work" clearly proposed to vigorously improve the quality and level of youth campus basketball sports teaching,extracurricular activities,and teacher training and training.The quality of school basketball teachers in Shanxi Province determines the development of school basketball in Shanxi Province to a certain extent,and is also the lifeblood of the success of school basketball in Shanxi Province.The competence level of campus basketball teachers in Shanxi middle schools is directly related to the quality of education and teaching of middle school basketball teachers in Shanxi Province and the direction of teachers’ own professional knowledge growth.Therefore,paying attention to and understanding the competency level of school basketball teachers in middle schools in Shanxi Province is gradually becoming an important practical issue that cannot be ignored by the government,relevant education departments and middle schools.This paper uses the questionnaire survey method,expert interview method and other research methods to investigate and research the current situation of the competency level of middle school basketball teachers in Shanxi Province,and explores and analyzes the real dilemma of the development of the current situation of the school basketball teachers’ competency in Shanxi Province.Based on the investigation and analysis,this paper analyzes the factors of the current situation of the development of the competency of the school basketball teachers in the secondary schools in Shanxi Province,and finally puts forward the improvement paths and suggestions for the development of the current situation of the school basketball teachers’ competency in the middle schools in Shanxi Province.The results show that:1.The status quo of basketball teachers’ competency in secondary schools in Shanxi Province includes four dimensions: professional knowledge,teaching and organization,basketball activity organization,and autonomous learning and development.Among them,the three dimensions of professional knowledge,teaching and organization,and basketball activity organization have higher scores.Self-directed learning and development have low scores.The average comprehensive value of the overall competence of campus basketball teachers in Shanxi Province is 3.42 points,which is at a moderately good level.Among them,the scores in the dimensions of professional knowledge,teaching and organization are higher than the average value of the comprehensive value,and the other two are lower than the average value of the comprehensive value,indicating that Shanxi Province The status quo of basketball teachers’ competency in middle school campuses is unbalanced in the competency structure.2.There is no significant difference in the overall competency level of campus basketball teachers in Shanxi Province among different genders,ages,educational backgrounds,professional titles,and teaching years;however,there are significant differences in school basketball teachers in Shanxi Province’s middle schools with different genders,ages,professional titles,and teaching years in different dimensions.In terms of professional knowledge,there are significant differences in the secondary school basketball teachers of different genders and professional titles in Shanxi Province,and in the dimension of autonomous learning and development,there are significant differences in the campus basketball teachers of different ages,professional titles and teaching years in Shanxi Province.3.On the basis of understanding the current situation and development of basketball teachers’ competency in secondary schools in Shanxi Province,this paper mainly interprets the realistic dilemma of the current development of basketball teachers’ competency in secondary schools in Shanxi Province from five aspects,including the lack of professional knowledge and teaching level development of secondary school basketball teachers.Balance,the middle school campus basketball teachers themselves develop slowly and lack a platform for communication and improvement,the teachers’ welfare is poor and the teacher training effect is not outstanding,the middle school campus basketball teachers’ self-learning and personal development motivation are insufficient,and the middle school campus basketball teachers’ values are not clear enough.4.The influencing factors on the development of the current situation of basketball teachers’ competence in middle school campuses in Shanxi Province include their own internal factors and external objective factors,and their own internal factors include the weak professional knowledge and basketball teaching skills of middle school basketball teachers,and the teaching attitude of middle school basketball teachers.and development motivation,lack of reflection and summary awareness of middle school basketball teachers,lack of self-learning and development awareness of middle school basketball teachers,unclear development planning of middle school basketball teachers;external objective factors include low school basketball teachers’ welfare,There is a lack of effective supervision and management of basketball teachers in middle school campuses,the imperfect training system for basketball teachers in middle school campuses,the lack of a reasonable evaluation system for teachers’ professional titles,and the teaching and research activities of campus basketball in middle schools are carried out in a single way and less frequently.5.According to the development status,realistic predicament and factors affecting the development of the competence of middle school basketball teachers in Shanxi Province,and combined with the actual situation of middle school basketball teachers in Shanxi Province,this paper puts forward suggestions on the improvement path suitable for the current development of the competence of middle school basketball teachers in Shanxi Province.Personal level: middle school campus basketball teachers need to improve their professional basketball knowledge and basketball teaching skills,scientifically formulate their own competency development plans and improve basketball teachers’ professional quality;school level: encourage and support middle school campus basketball teachers to carry out teaching,teaching and research activities and construction and improvement Incentive system for the competency of basketball teachers in middle school campuses;government level: increase the support of relevant policies to improve the welfare of basketball teachers,and build
