The Grand Canal culture emerged and evolved with the construction of the Grand Canal.It is a beautiful treasure in the long river of history and culture.It has a long history and is an important part of the excellent traditional culture of China.In the new era,in the face of the diverse and complex cultural environment,the cultural carrier of the Grand Canal culture should be given full play to its conservation function,so that college students can feel the connotation and value of the Grand Canal culture,and help them establish correct cultural views and values.Therefore,colleges and universities should actively play the guiding function of ideological and political education.This paper explores the connection between Grand Canal culture and ideological and political education,excavates the educational factors of Grand Canal culture,penetrates cultural education through the whole ideological and political process of college students,and urges them to deeply understand the spiritual quality transmitted by Grand Canal culture,which plays an important role in the inheritance and development of Grand Canal culture for college students.Universities attach great importance to the work of cultural education,vigorously support the development and utilization of the Grand Canal cultural resources,and actively explore the practical path of integrating the Grand Canal culture into the ideological and political thinking of college students,with certain results.It is manifested in the following aspects:the importance of the Grand Canal culture in colleges and universities is constantly increasing,teachers’ teaching of the Grand Canal culture is gradually strengthened,and college students’ recognition of the value of the Grand Canal culture is generally improved.Of course,some universities also have some shortcomings in the process of integration:the integration of the Grand Canal culture in ideological and political teaching is low,college students do not pay attention to the study of the Grand Canal culture,and the atmosphere of the Grand Canal culture cultivation is weak.The main reasons are:the lack of innovative integration measures in ideological and political education in colleges and universities,the weak cultural literacy of the Grand Canal among teachers,and the low emphasis on the carrier of the Grand Canal culture in campus culture.In view of this situation,this study puts forward the countermeasures to promote the education of the Grand Canal culture and the ideological and political education of college students:First,based on the curriculum system,to realize the ideological and political curriculum and the same direction;The second is to promote the overall development of ideological and political education subjects by taking the teachers and students’ cultural literacy of the Grand Canal as the starting point;Third,the campus culture is the driving point to create a harmonious and beautiful atmosphere for the dissemination of Grand Canal culture;The fourth is to network ideology and politics as a breakthrough point,and cooperate with various forces to form educational forces.Integrating the Grand Canal culture into the ideological and political education of college students,on the one hand,carries out the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people,helps college students cultivate socialist core values,and enhances national cultural self-confidence.On the other hand,it innovates the cultural carrier of ideological and political education in colleges and universities,providing important support for the content of ideological and political education of college students.
