General Secretary Xi Jinping has stressed that the Grand Canal is an important cultural heritage of China,and all areas along the canal should take the initiative to shoulder the important mission of protecting,inheriting and making good use of the Grand Canal.Canal culture as an excellent local curriculum resources is the Chinese excellent traditional culture education,establish high cultural confidence of fresh material,the canal culture curriculum resources used in high school politics can promote the implementation of the implementation of the casting soul education fundamental task,help the high school students strengthen the feelings,set up the responsibility consciousness.High school politics course is committed to cultivating the four core qualities of high school students’ political identity,scientific spirit,rule of law consciousness and public participation.As an integral part of China’s excellent traditional culture,the canal cultural resources themselves also contain rich contents,such as the canal cultural sites,the canal intangible cultural heritage art,and the spiritual character bred by the canal,all of which have certain educational value and have many meeting points with the ideological and political courses in high school.It is of great significance to apply canal culture to ideological and political courses in high school,which can provide spiritual nourishment for enhancing cultural confidence,provide curriculum resources for teachers’ professional development,provide rich materials for cultivating the feelings of home and country,and enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education.At present,there are still some problems in the application of canal cultural resources to high school politics teaching,such as the limited understanding of canal cultural resources,the low frequency of teacher development and utilization of canal cultural resources,the lack of attention to the canal cultural resources,and the lack of utilization of canal cultural curriculum resources outside the school.In view of these problems,the causes are analyzed accordingly,such as teachers and students facing the pressure of taking exams,unable to understand in depth,the lack of canal culture reading suitable for high school students,the restriction of subjective and objective factors of schools,the fact that the canal cultural resources involve many disciplines,the resource development is difficult and so on.The application of canal culture resources to high school politics teaching needs to actively develop curriculum resources to enhance students’ cognition of canal culture;teachers adopt diversified teaching methods to improve the effectiveness of canal culture education;continue canal culture,apply canal culture to the whole process of classroom teaching;and create a good environment to help classroom teaching.Through these measures,enrich the canal cultural resources in high school politics teaching content and form,enhance the affinity and attraction of the classroom.
