The Professional Standards for Kindergarten Teachers(2012)explicitly require teachers to be "good listeners,amiable and effective communicators with children." The Guidelines for Assessing the Quality of Kindergarten Care and Education(2022)state that "attention is paid to children’s expressive representations of their experiences of play,picture book reading,observation and other activities through drawing,narration,etc.,and to teachers’ ability to listen one-to-one and to record children’s ideas and experiences authentically." Emphasises the importance of teachers’ listening to interpret young children.Holographic listening is the highest level of listening,and by integrating holographic listening with play in depth,the study of holographic play listening is of great value in enhancing teachers’ play listening.This study focuses on the pathways to improve early childhood teachers’ holographic play listening practices.Using the literature method,this study attempts to sort out the basic theoretical understanding of holographic play listening,including the connotation,characteristics,content,structure and value of holographic play listening.Based on the basic theory of holographic play listening,the current situation is analysed in terms of both general research and case studies of holographic play listening among teachers.Firstly,the survey method was used to study the overall situation of holographic play listening among early childhood teachers in city H in terms of both descriptive and difference statistical analysis.Secondly,the case study method was used to analyse the teachers in H and Anji from the perspective of in-province and out-of-province,as well as from the perspective of taking advantage of their strengths and weaknesses.On the basis of the overall and case-by-case analyses and the comprehensive and focused analyses,we found that the current problems of teachers’ holographic play listening include simplistic understanding and cognition,weak organisational and implementation effectiveness,and lack of evaluation and guarantee.On the basis of the analysis of the problems and their causes,the practical path to enhance teachers’ holographic play listening is summarised.The three main aspects are:deepening theoretical understanding,improving organisation and implementation,and implementing evaluation and guarantee.In terms of deepening theoretical understanding,enriching theoretical literacy and building a pluralistic eagle frame.In terms of strengthening the organisation and implementation,we will accept and pay attention to the whole,understand and evaluate thoroughly,and respond and support appropriately.In terms of implementing evaluation safeguards,we improve the top-level design of kindergartens,create a supportive listening environment,develop diverse training and teaching models,and build a pluralistic evaluation mechanism.
