| The development of the Internet has brought great convenience to people’s daily life,but at the same time,it has also increased many privacy risks.According to the statistics on the structure of Internet users,college students account for the highest proportion of Internet users and become the main force of Internet users.As a "data generation" growing with the development of the network,they are facing more serious privacy risks in the network environment.However,many college students have insufficient awareness of online privacy and lack of protection ability,becoming victims of online privacy violations.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct research on college students’ online privacy cognition and protection,and further explore strategies to improve college students’ online cognition and protection capabilities.This article takes college students in Chongqing as the research object,and combines multi-dimensional development theory and protection motivation theory to study college students’ awareness and protection of online privacy.The main research methods used in this article are questionnaire survey and in-depth interview.The questionnaire and interview outline are designed around four variables: risk perception,benefit perception,self-efficacy,and online media literacy.The research sample is from 6 university students in Chongqing,and a total of 1228 valid questionnaires and 25 interview materials were obtained.Based on the data obtained,this paper deeply explores the current situation of network privacy awareness and protection among college students in Chongqing,and further analyzes the influencing factors behind it.Finally,it proposes strategies to improve the awareness and protection of network privacy.The article is specifically divided into five parts: The first chapter is an introduction,which explains the research background,literature review,research purpose and significance,research methods,research difficulties,and innovation points.The second chapter mainly explains the basic concepts and research design,explaining and explaining the key concepts and design ideas of the article.The third chapter focuses on the definition of the scope of network privacy,cognitive level,privacy concerns and privacy protection of college students in Chongqing,and conducts a research on the current situation of their awareness and protection of network privacy.The fourth chapter analyzes the influencing factors of the current situation of network privacy awareness and protection among college students in Chongqing,including demographic factors,risk perception,benefit perception,self-efficacy,and network media literacy.Chapter 5 proposes strategies for all college students to enhance their ability to recognize and protect online privacy from the perspective of universality.The research on the cognition and protection of network privacy among college students in Chongqing has universal reference significance for college students in the current network era to address the risk of network privacy leakage.In a complex network environment,college students should actively strengthen privacy concerns,actively improve their network privacy awareness,and reduce the risk of privacy leakage from the source.Continuously improve self-efficacy and network media literacy,and ensure the basic ability to address privacy disclosure issues.Only by mastering a fuller reserve of privacy knowledge and a stronger ability to protect privacy can college students maximize their own security and interests while enjoying the convenience of the network. |
