One of the revised principles proposed by the General High School Physics Curriculum Standards(2020 revision)is "to insist on reflecting the needs of the times,promoting the transformation of talent training methods,and focusing on enhancing students’ core literacy." Experimental teaching is the main site for cultivating scientific inquity ability as one of the core literacies,and the merits of experimental teaching are related to the innovation ability and problem-solving ability of our new-age talents.At the same time,with the advancement of the college entrance examination reform,college entrance examination experimental test questions gradually focus on students’ ability to transfer knowledge and think logically in different contexts.However,there are still many problems in the current experimental teaching,which are insufficient to meet the training requirements of the curriculum and the college entrance examination.For example,teachers do not give enough attention to experiment,which leads to the compression and simplification of the experimental courses,and it is difficult for students to have the opportunity to practice in person;Another example,teachers ignore the dominant position of students and do not attach importance to the path of thinking improvement,so the inquiry experiment is replaced by imitative operation.Due to the reasons listed above,the study on the feasibility of optimizing high school physics experimental teaching is conducted based on the "problem chain" teaching method with the help of literature research,classroom observation,and case studies,in an attempt to promote students to turn their knowledge into wisdom and apply their knowledge in experimental learning by using the "problem chain"teaching method.The origin of the topic,the purpose of the study,and the results of the study are proposed.The research results of some domestic and foreign experts and scholars on the connotation and design strategies of problem chains are summarized,the in-depth excavation and analysis are conducted on the questioning situation,the design ideas,and principles of problem chains in senior high school physics experiment classrooms with combined considering the actual teaching observation.In the practice stage,three topics were selected to complete the case design and practical work was carried out in the internship school.Finally,based on the students’ paper and pencil test scores and actual operation evaluation results,the experimental conclusions were summarized and the research prospects were proposed.The purpose of this study is to examine the feasibility of the "problem chain" teaching method applied to senior high school physics experimental teaching,and to find out in what ways the "problem chain" can promote the improvement of students’ experimental literacy.The present study provides useful guidance for senior high school physics teachers to change their teaching philosophy and improve their experimental teaching methods.
