| Violent crime is a type of crime that accounts for a large proportion of juvenile delinquency in our country, with strong aggressiveness and social harmfulness.China has long been concerned about juvenile delinquency, but due to the particularity of the physiological and psychological characteristics of minors, the rectification work of minors involved in crime still has a long way to go.Therefore, how to effectively rectify juvenile delinquency and reduce the rate of violent crimes and recidivism among minors remains a problem that needs to be continuously explored and solved.Cognitive behavior theory,as one of the professional theories in social work, focuses on correcting the irrational beliefs and deviant behaviors of service recipients, helping them to reshape their cognition and intervene in their deviant behaviors to achieve service goals. It has certain effectiveness in applying it to the correction of violent behavior among juvenile offenders. In this context, this study takes an example of a violent criminal minor whom the author came into contact with during her internship at H Social Work Service.Through social surveys,it was found that the service recipient had an irrational understanding of violent behavior, had a prominent concept of "using violence to control violence",and lacked the ability to control attacking behavior. Therefore, the author conducted case intervention work on the subject from the perspective of cognitive behavior theory.By helping them identify irrational beliefs in violent behavior and reshaping this misconception, they can become aware of the seriousness and harm of violent behavior, thereby reducing their negative emotions and violent behavior. Finally,by continuously consolidating rational cognition and positive behavior, they can achieve service goals and reduce the likelihood of recurrence of violent crimes. The results of this study indicate that after individual intervention, the service subjects’ irrational cognition of violence has improved, the frequency of violent behavior has significantly decreased, and they consciously restrain aggressive behavior when encountering conflict events. Therefore, the application of cognitive behavior theory in the correction of violent behavior among juvenile offenders has certain effectiveness, which helps the service subjects identify and reshape their irrational beliefs,Reduce the occurrence of violent behavior. The innovation of this article lies in focusing the problem on the micro level, starting from the irrational cognition of the service object itself, guiding the service object to stimulate thinking about the connection between cognition and behavior,so as to learn to control their own behavior and reduce the occurrence of violent behavior. |
