A Case Management Practice Study On The Construction Of Social Support Network For Children In Difficult Situations In Single-parent Familie

For a long time,the plight of children in single-parent families has been concerned by the society.Incomplete families make children lack family care and sense of security,coupled with poor family economic status and lack of social support network,difficult children are prone to fall into multiple difficulties,and their physical and mental health development is limited.Under the guidance of social support theory,this study collects data by interviewing and observation methods to analyze the problems and needs of children in difficult single-parent families as well as the current situation of social support network.In view of the lack of social support network for children from single parent families with difficulties,the author uses the professional service method of case management to intervene from the three aspects of children’s individual,family and society,aiming at helping children from single parent families with difficulties build a comprehensive social support network.At the individual level,the client’s irrational cognition should be adjusted to help him understand himself objectively and correctly,enhance his sense of self-identity,and tap his potential and resources.At the family level,help the service target to improve parent-child relationship,promote family communication,and consolidate the effect of the service through late parental education counseling,improve the family support system of the service target.At the social level,assistance stations,civil affairs Bureau,women’s federations,communities,social organizations,psychological counselors and other forces are united to provide educational support,communication support and practical support for the service objects and their families,helping the service objects to build a more perfect social support network.It is found that the case management service method has strong applicability in the construction of social support network for children from single parent families with difficulties.It can effectively help children from single parent families with difficulties solve multiple difficulties,provide them with continuous support in various aspects,and promote the healthy growth and development of children.Through the intervention of social work case management services,the social support network for children with single parent families in difficulties has been preliminarily constructed.However,the follow-up needs coordination between various resource networks to provide continuous support for the service objects.Meanwhile,the ability of the service objects to use the resource network by themselves should be improved to further consolidate the service effect.
