Reshaping Publicity:The Governance Effect Of Public Space Renovation In Old Communities

The community is an important field for reorganizing the society of acquaintances,promoting the integration of community communities,and individual reorganization.And community public space is an important material carrier of public life.Under the impact of modernization,grassroots communities have been rapidly transformed,and their basic forms and social integration methods have also undergone corresponding changes.Especially in old communities built earlier,due to factors such as low construction standards and supporting indicators,complex property rights and vague definitions of some houses,the public space carrying public life tends to be privatized,and the spontaneous governance within the community gradually becomes chaotic and disorderly.The state intervenes in the transformation of public space from the outside to build beautiful homes,and uses a series of mechanisms to "sink to the end" of multi-departmental administrative functions and social resources in a project-based and indexed manner,and promotes the STC Residents’ Committee to start the "micro-renewal" public space transformation project.In the process of external intervention,cultural products such as"community shared space" are used to shape cultural emotional identity,the governance form of community autonomy is shaped by going deep into the residential area of residents,and the sense of rules of residents is shaped by the need for follow-up maintenance and sharing.Under the joint action of external forces and internal forces,residents’ repeated exchanges are enhanced,resulting in common feelings,consultation and deliberation mechanisms,community conventions and other important indicators to measure publicity.Through "spatial remediation",community renewal finally promotes the "relationship reconstruction" of the community,leverages micro-governance with micro-renewal,and enhances the publicity of the community.Combined with the theory of state capacity,this study explores the reshaping of community publicity from the perspective of external intervention of the state,that is,through the study of a specific community public space transformation project,it explains the effective path of state power intervention in the public space of grassroots communities and the interaction mechanism between the state and society.In this dual alliance,conflict and compromise,the repeated interaction of the community is promoted,thus producing important indicators of publicity such as emotional identity,consultative discussion platform,community self-organization,and community convention.Relying on the micro-renewal of public space,the top-down public construction path of external intervention of state forces in grassroots communities is significantly different from that in the West,which is a useful practice for building a "strong country-strong society".
