ObjectiveThe willingness and various impact factors of grass-roots employment of ROOMS(Rural Order-Oriented Medical Students)were analyzed and explored,respectively,to propose targeted suggestions.MethodAccording to the random sampling method,a questionnaire was conducted among ROOMS randomly recruited from 2010 to 2017.A total of 770 questionnaires were sent out,and 749 valid questionnaires were returned with a recovery rate of 98.44%.Statistical analysis was conducted on the questionnaire using SPSS22.0 software.Targeted interviews were performed with ROOMS,managers of administrative structure of grass-roots medical,and manager of cultural school,to analyze the current situation and existing problems of policy implementation.Result(1)The impact of basic situation on employment willingness: the gender,age of admission,age,consistency of contracted and source place,and understanding of grass-roots medical institutions all have effects on employment willingness of ROOMS.(2)The impact of the reasons for applying on employment willingness: except for the scores of the college entrance examination,other reasons have an impact on the grass-roots employment willingness with statistical significance,and show a positive correlation,which means that various factors have a significant role in promoting the grass-roots employment willingness.(3)The impact of the reasons for being employed at grass-roots level on employment willingness: in addition to "Signing agreements before enrollment,we should be honest",other factors have an impact on grass-roots employment willingness with statistical significance.Among them,"Signing agreements before enrollment,which has high default costs" is negatively correlated,while other options are positively correlated.(4)The reasons for hindering the employment of grass-roots medical institutions:Except for "the low sense of job achievement",other reasons have an impact and negative correlation with the grass-roots employment willingness of ROOMS,indicating that these reasons have hindering effect.Conclusion and Suggestion(1)The basic situation has an impact on employment intention;(2)Enjoying preferential policies is the main reason for ROOMS;(3)The reasons for choosing grass-roots employment are the high cost of default and the advantages of grass-roots employment.(4)The reasons hindering the employment of grass-roots units are the backwardness of various conditions at the grass-roots level;(5)The "Policy Government Hospital Students" have an impact on grass-roots Employment intention.We should actively explore and construct an effective operational mechanism of the four-party linkage and cooperation in educating students.(1)The government should introduce more specific and operable supporting policies;(2)Cultural schools should be more targeted in personnel training mode;(3)Employment mechanism of Order-Oriented hospital should be close to the actual needs of ROOMS;(4)ROOMS should fully understand the current national health situation and the reality of World Health development,and effectively improve their personal thinking and professional level.
