Current social development has put forward new and higher requirements for talent training.Teachers should refine and implement the Party’s educational policy,develop students’ core literacy,and clarify the internal connection between curriculum teaching and core literacy.The Biology Curriculum Standards for General High Schools(2017 Revision 2020)requires students to have a deep understanding of the concept and application of biology,and to develop the core literacy of biology discipline.Unit teaching design can integrate teaching content to form a complete system with subject characteristics,which helps teachers to organize teaching at a higher level.Therefore,the practical research focusing on the core quality of biology and unit teaching is helpful to implement the basic concept of biology curriculum,and to provide practical reference value for teachers to deepen the implementation of the curriculum reform of ordinary high schools.Through constructivism theory,gestalt psychology theory as the basis for the unit teaching practice of theory,with biological concept,important concept as the main guide of unit teaching,to investigate the students ’biological core literacy as the premise of practice,to the perspective of developing students’ core literacy teaching method,mainly problem driven strategy,model construction strategy,experimental inquiry strategy.Through questionnaire survey and interview,the students of a high school in Xiamen were investigated,and corresponding countermeasures were proposed according to the learning situation.The unit teaching mode is formed through the research of books and literature,and through the combination of theory,mode and strategy,the unit teaching design,learning plan design,and the teaching practice experimental research is conducted.The two classes with no obvious difference were tested for experimental comparison and data collection,and SPSS and other software were used to analyze students’ core literacy level,and teaching feedback was collected through student interviews.The results showed that the experimental group significantly promoted the development of scientific inquiry and scientific thinking than the control group,and the four dimensions of core literacy were evaluated stronger than the control group.The interview results showed that the experimental group was highly active,and the students participated actively and were good at expressing themselves.In the practice of unit teaching design based on constructivism and other theoretical basis,taking the big concept of biology as the guide,using multiple teaching strategies,guiding students to study independently,and using inquiry learning provide support for improving the effect of unit teaching.The overall performance of unit teaching to help students construct the concept system,with the characteristics of the students as the main body,guide students to independent learning can promote students’ effective learning,experimental inquiry learning can stimulate students to explore the nature of science,eventually help students to solve the problem of real "learning",lay the foundation for the development of a higher level of biological core literacy.
