| Chinese traditional festivals are the treasures of Chinese culture and national spirit. The inheritance of traditional festivals is of great significance for carrying forward Chinese traditional culture and strengthening national cultural identity and national identity.Traditional festivals are closely related to real life, and their rich connotations are expressed in the forms of stories and legends, children’s songs and rhymes, rituals, games and snacks, etc.,which are in line with children’s cognitive level and age characteristics and are rich educational resources for children.Fundamentally speaking, knowledge comes from the body.Children’s thinking is in the stage of concrete image thinking. They mainly rely on the perception and experience of concrete objects to obtain knowledge and experience, and understand the world and grasp the world through the body.Embodied cognition theory is an educational theory that emphasizes the core position of the body in cognition. It emphasizes the subjectivity of children’s body. There is a high degree of agreement between embodied cognition and traditional festival culture teaching activities in kindergartens. Both of them not only pay attention to physical participation experience, but also emphasize the realization of educational development of children through activity experience. The embodied cognition theory is used to guide the teaching of traditional festival culture in kindergarten, which provides a new perspective for the practice of preschool education. From the perspective of embodied cognition theory, this study studied the design of teaching activities of traditional festival culture in kindergartens Through literature research, questionnaire survey, action research and observation method.First of all, through the literature review and analysis of embodied cognition and traditional festival culture, the meaning and the embodied characteristics of traditional festival culture activities in kindergartens are proposed to provide feasibility and necessary support for this study. Then,a questionnaire survey was conducted in five representative cities in southwest Sichuan Province to understand the current embodied teaching of traditional festival culture in kindergartens.According to the survey results, there are three main problems: in the use of multi-sensory body, visual and listening are the main problems, while touch and movement are ignored; On the subject of context construction, teachers are given priority to and children are neglected. In the degree of physical participation, more in the restriction, less release. Finally,in view of these practical problems, this study proposed the design principles of traditional festival culture activities in kindergarten from the perspective of embodied cognition theory, which were elaborated from three aspects, namely the principle of body subjectivity, the principle of game activity, and the principle of body operation.Meanwhile, this study also designed activities of "Tomb-Sweeping Day" cases. It is hoped that this study can provide substantial guidance and help for the design and implementation of traditional festival culture teaching activities in kindergartens. |
