In 2021,the Ministry of Education strongly introduced the "double reduction" policy,which requires effective improvement of school education and effective reduction of students’ homework burden.And in the General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards(2017Edition),clearly states that teachers should explore the intrinsic connection between chemistry subject knowledge and core literacy in chemistry,and that teachers’ teaching activities should be highly relevant to the corresponding knowledge and skills of the subject taught,and with the implementation of core literacy development as the core of teaching.From this perspective,it is important to design teaching and learning activities with subject core literacy as a guide,and assignment design is one of the key aspects.After reading various literature on "core literacy in chemistry" and "homework design",the author summarized the current status of domestic and international research and identified meaningful learning,the nearest developmental zone,and constructivism as the theoretical basis for the study.The questionnaire was used to investigate the views of our sophomore students about the current status of chemistry homework,and it was found that part of students were not satisfied with the existing homework,and thought it could not arouse interest in learning chemistry,they also could not complete the homework seriously.Interviews with chemistry teachers were conducted to understand the teachers’ understanding,implementation,and difficulties in implementing the core literacy of the subject.After integrating the above findings and the current situation of the homework,combining the core literacy requirements and the "academic requirements" of the new curriculum for chemical equilibrium,and referring to the previous studies on core literacy and homework design,I developed a corresponding homework knowledge content framework and homework core literacy framework for the chapter of chemical equilibrium,and designed and implemented the homework cases based on the framework,and gave the corresponding evaluation scheme.The results of the test were quantified and analyzed by using the literacy evaluation form.Combining the results of student questionnaires and student interviews,it can be seen that the balanced chemistry homework designed with core literacy as a guide can effectively improve students’ learning interest and literacy level,deepen their understanding of chemistry subjects,and improve their examination results in the stage test.In the course of this study,the author also concluded that the principles that should be upheld in designing chemistry assignments that promote the development of core literacy are:ramming the foundation and emphasizing the concept,having fun near life,having inquiry and emphasizing practical work,having stratification and emphasizing quality,and having interaction and emphasizing cooperation.The chemistry assignments designed with this principle in mind will enable students to develop their personal skills while mastering the subject matter and bring out the real role and value of the assignments.It is hoped that the design exploration in this study will provide reference for teachers to design assignments guided by core literacies in the future.
