The 14th Five-Year Plan for Sports Development released by the General Administration of Sport of China puts forward the main goals that China’s sports development is expected to achieve during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, supports the innovative application of new technologies such as big data, blockchain, and cloud computing in the sports field, and implements the strategy of digitalization of the sports industry. In this context,it has become an urgent problem to pay attention to the rapid development of digital economy relying on new technology,to explore whether the digital economy can promote the development of China’s sports industry, and what effects exist in the process of promoting. This thesis first summarizes and generalizes the domestic and foreign literature materials, and then analyzes the influence mechanism of digital economy on China’s sports industry, and puts forward the corresponding hypothesis, hypothesis 1:digital economy can promote the development of sports industry;Hypothesis 2:There is a positive spatial spillover effect between the development of sports industry in different regions;Hypothesis 3:While the digital economy promotes the development of local sports industry, there is a positive spatial spillover effect.Secondly, from the three aspects of policy combing, overall and regional development status, this thesis analyzes the development status of sports industry and digital economy in various regions in China, and points out the imbalance and agglomeration phenomenon in the development of the two systems. Then, taking 31 regions of China as the research objects, this thesis collected and sorted the relevant panel data from 2013 to 2020 to build a comprehensive evaluation system of sports industry and digital economy. The entropy method is used to measure the development level of sports industry and digital economy in various regions of China, and the development level of the two systems in various regions of China was visualized from the overall and regional levels, pointing out that there may be spatial spillover effects between the development of the two systems. Finally,by establishing a general panel model to determine that the digital economy can promote the development of the sports industry, check its spatial correlation through exploratory spatial analysis, and establish a spatial Dubin model through various tests, the model results show that there is a spatial spillover effect in the process of digital economy promoting the development of China’s sports industry, and the robustness test shows that the results of the model are robust, which provides support for the hypothesis. The results show that the high development level of sports industry and digital economy is mostly concentrated in the eastern regions, followed by the central and southern regions, while the development level of western and northeast regions is low,and there is an agglomeration phenomenon.Digital economy can promote the development of sports industry(Hypothesis 1).The development of China’s sports industry has a positive spatial spillover effect, that is,the development of the local sports industry will be positively influenced by the development of the sports industry in the surrounding areas(hypothesis 2).There is a positive spatial spillover effect in the influence of digital economy on sports industry, and the development level of local sports industry will be positively affected by the development of digital economy in local and surrounding areas(Hypothesis 3).Finally,corresponding policy and suggestions are proposed according to the conclusion. |
