Research On The Cooperation Application Of Defense Ball Screening In The Top Four Teams Of The 41st European Men’s Basketball Cup

Pick and roll coordination is a widely used basic offensive coordination in modern basketball games.At the same time,with the continuous enrichment of basketball players’ individual offensive means,the power of pick and roll attacks is becoming greater and greater,which puts forward higher requirements for defensive pick and roll.How to defend the opponent’s pick and roll coordination is of great significance in the development process of basketball today.Through the methods of literature,video analysis,mathematical statistics,expert interviews and logical analysis,this paper makes an in-depth study on the area,personnel position,time,number of passes,defense methods and effects of defensive pick and roll cooperation of the top four teams of the 41st European Men’s Basketball Cup in the knockout match,and draws the following conclusions:(1)The defensive pick and roll of the top four teams in the 41st European Men’s Basketball Cup are mainly concentrated in the three areas of Zone 2(left high area),Zone 3(middle high area)and Zone 4(right high area),and the number of pick and roll cooperation in other areas is relatively small.(2)The most common form of defense,pick and roll cooperation among the top four teams in the 41st European Men’s Basketball Cup is the cooperation between the guard and the center,accounting for 77% of the total number.(3)The defensive pick and roll time of the top four teams in the 41st European Men’s Basketball Cup is mainly between 4 seconds and 14 seconds,and the defensive pick and roll times in this period account for 84% of the total.(4)Most of the top four teams in the 41st European Men’s Basketball Cup finished the attack after 0 or 1 pass.If the attackers were forced to finish the attack after more than 2 passes,the defense effect would be better.(5)The top four teams of the 41st European Men’s Basketball Cup are good at using different defensive pick and roll methods.The Spanish team is the most successful in using the defensive method of passing through and cooperating with back defense and changing defense.The French team is good at using the defensive method of squeezing through and cooperating with back defense.The German team tends to use the defensive method of squeezing through and cooperating with back defense and changing defense.The Polish team uses the defensive method of squeezing through and cooperating with delay most times.(6)The effect of defensive pick and roll cooperation of the top four teams in the 41st European Men’s Basketball Cup varies with different defensive cooperation.Among the four teams,France has the best effect of pick and roll defense,followed by Poland and Germany,and Spain has the worst effect of defensive pick and roll cooperation among the top four teams.
