Olympic Surfing Project Competitive Winning Factors Research

On August 3,2016,the International Olympic Committee established surfing as an Olympic event,and divided it into two sub-items,men’s shortboard and women’s shortboard,and surfing made its Olympic debut at the Tokyo Olympic Games.As an emerging sport,surfing started late in China;due to various factors such as weak project foundation and shallow accumulation of theoretical research,the overall level of surfing development in China has a large gap compared to old powerhouses such as Australia,the United States and Brazil.This paper explores the characteristics of the Olympic surfing competition and the special abilities based on the winning factors of the domestic hard-to-compete group and foreign surfing research,and identifies the winning factors of the surfing project.In order to supplement the weakness of China’s competitive surfing theory and provide a theoretical basis for the training practice of China’s surfing team.This paper mainly adopts literature method,expert interview method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics method,and uses visual analysis mapping tools to analyze the competition characteristics and special ability characteristics of the surfing event,and on this basis,we explore and think about the winning factors of the Olympic surfing event.Specific conclusions are as follows.1.From the perspective of competition characteristics,surfing scoring rules are multi-faceted and deep,with emphasis on technical performance level,action difficulty coefficient,action success rate and action combination diversity;the competition environment is characterized by non-equilibrium characteristics as the primary feature,and parameters such as different wave heights and different wave peeling angles limit the technical performance and tactical decisions of surfers,and also put higher demands on their competitive ability.2.In terms of special ability characteristics,the body form is relatively short,light weight and long arm span,and the distribution of questions is mainly in the middle factor value;strength quality,speed quality remaining sensitive quality together constitute special quality characteristics;special skills are divided into equal wave,paddling,wave riding and other links,among which the equal wave link takes up the longest time,and the vacating action is the key to get high scores in the competition;special function performance is based on aerobic functional system,with Phosphate and glycolysis mixed energy supply is the dominant.3.From the viewpoint of winning factors,athletes should have flexible and diverse movements,quick and sensitive physical activities and clever and intelligent thinking activities to show the "spirit" of Olympic surfing."Stability" requires the athlete to have the ability to control the body’s posture steadily,the ability to perform calmly and skillfully,and the ability to respond calmly to the competition environment."Difficulty"is expressed in the high quality of completing difficult movements,strengthening the level of combination of difficult movements and the ability to adapt to the highly complex sea environment.Controlling the rapidly changing competition conditions,strengthening the speed of completing the movements and making effective responses quickly together constitute the connotation of the winning factor "fast"."Spirituality,stability,difficulty and speed are the core winning factors in surfing.
