On August 31,2020,the General Administration of Sport of the State and the Ministry of Education issued the Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Sports Education with the Healthy Development of Young People,proposing to promote the construction of traditional sports schools with characteristics.Martial arts is a part of the physical education curriculum of middle school stipulated by the Ministry of Education.It can promote the improvement of students’ physical quality and also contribute to the inheritance of traditional Chinese culture.Due to the influence of exam-oriented education in schools,martial arts and other traditional events are neglected in school sports,leading to the reduction of martial arts teaching content and the formation of a simple combination of martial arts action sets,which poses a severe test to the development of martial arts.Therefore,starting from the current situation of the development and reform of middle school martial arts in Chengdu High-tech Zone,this study investigates the development of middle school martial arts through the analysis of Opinions,analyzes the existing deficiencies,and puts forward corresponding optimization strategies to promote the education function of school martial arts and realize the comprehensive development of students.This paper will use the methods of literature,questionnaire,expert interview,experimental research,mathematical statistics and other methods to study the optimization strategy of martial arts teaching in high schools of Chengdu High tech Zone under the background of the integration of physical education and education,and take 20 junior high schools and 7 senior high schools of Chengdu High tech Zone as cases for investigation and research.Collect the literature and national documents related to the development of martial arts in middle schools,understand the current situation and problems in the development of campus martial arts,design the questionnaire for students and teachers based on the suggestions of experts and tutors,distribute and retrieve the questionnaire,test the reliability and validity of the collected data and make data statistics,and analyze the implementation effect of martial arts teaching optimization strategies.The following conclusions are drawn from the research:(1)In the aspect of martial arts teachers,the teachers with bachelor’s degree account for the largest proportion among the martial arts teachers of middle schools in Chengdu High-tech Zone.Some martial arts teachers of middle schools lack professionalism and poor martial arts skills.(2)In the aspect of martial arts teaching students,some students lack interest and active participation in martial arts,which leads to poor learning results.Students have insufficient understanding of the characteristics and value of traditional martial arts,and lack a deep understanding of martial arts.(3)In terms of supporting facilities for martial arts teaching,fewer schools have indoor venues,and students cannot exercise effectively in rainy weather.School level authorities do not pay enough attention to some of the infrastructure is obsolete.(4)In terms of martial arts teaching objectives,there is an excessive emphasis on form and techniques,neglecting the cultivation of comprehensive qualities.It tends to prioritize competitive achievements and performance results,overlooking the significance of physical and mental well-being,as well as self-defense abilities.(5)In terms of the use of teaching materials for martial arts instruction,the majority of schools use standardized textbooks,while a few do not use any textbooks at all.During the teaching process,the content of each class is arranged by martial arts teachers themselves,which may lead to inconsistency and limitations in the coherence of martial arts courses.(6)In terms of the teaching content of martial arts courses,Most schools are single-minded,with generic and outdated textbooks.Few schools have created self selected boxing as teaching content,and few schools have carried out teaching reform and innovation..(7)In terms of process organization of martial arts curriculum,teachers take class teaching as the main form of organization.(8)In terms of martial arts teaching methods,teachers’ teaching and students’ learning are still the mainstream methods of martial arts teaching.(9)In terms of martial arts curriculum evaluation,the coverage of martial arts teaching evaluation in middle schools is not comprehensive and specific enough.The selection and application of evaluation indicators in teaching evaluation did not highlight the scientific,comprehensive and rational nature,and there was no comprehensive evaluation.
