The Evolution Of Tourism Industry And Evaluation Of Its Development Level In Ice And Snow Tourism Destinations

Under the background of the Beijing Winter Olympics,national policy support and market demand drive,China’s ice and snow tourism resources have been continuously developed,the ice and snow tourism industry has developed rapidly,and various types of ice and snow tourism destinations have emerged.The rapid development of ice and snow tourism has promoted the continuous evolution of ice and snow tourism destinations and their tourism industries.Under the circumstances of the vigorous development of ice and snow tourism,how to guide the scientific and orderly development of tourism industry and achieve the sustainable development of regional tourism has become a common problem faced by ice and snow tourism destinations.Based on this,in view of the current practical needs and lack of research,in order to promote the sustainable development of ice and snow tourism and release the value of ice and snow resources,this paper carried out research on the evolution and development of tourism industry in ice and snow tourism destinations under the logic line of "analysis of temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of tourism industrymeasurement of tourism industry development level-analysis of tourism industry evolution and development phase-industrial optimization and upgrading path".And Chongli District in Zhangjiakou City,Hebei Province,a typical ice and snow tourism destination of China and one of the host places of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games,was selected as the study case.First,this paper systematically combed and reviewed the relevant literature on the development of ice and snow tourism destinations,the ice and snow tourism industry,the evolution of tourism destinations,and the evaluation of tourism industry development,so as to provide theoretical and methodological preparation and support for subsequent research.Second,the paper differentiated and defined the relevant concepts of ice and snow tourism destination,tourism industry in ice and snow tourism destination,and expounded the core-edge theory,point-axis system theory,evolutionary economic geography theory and tourism life cycle theory,laying a theoretical foundation for this study.Third,the tourism industry types in ice and snow tourism areas were divided,and the spatial and temporal characteristics and influencing factors of tourism industry in the case area were analyzed and identified by using the spatial analysis method.Fourth,the evaluation index system of the development level of tourism industry in the ice and snow tourism destination was built,and the development level of tourism industry in Chongli from 1996 to 2022 was measured and analyzed using entropy method and TOPSIS method.And the obstacle factors of the development level of tourism industry was identified based on the obstacle model.Fifth,according to the characteristics of tourism industry evolution,the development level of tourism industry and other factors,the evolution stages of the tourism industry of ice and snow tourism destinations were identified and divided,and the characteristics of the evolution stages were analyzed.Sixth,based on the evolution characteristics of the tourism industry in the ice and snow tourism destination,the paper proposed the optimization and upgrading path of the ice and snow tourism industry.The main results of this paper are as follows:1.Temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of tourism industry in ice and snow tourism destinations.The tourism industry types in Chongli has formed the spatial distribution characteristics of dense in the south,scattered in the north,concentrated in the east and sparse in the west.The spatial pattern has experienced the evolution from"one core and multiple centers" to "two cores and multiple zones".The tourism industry is generally distributed in a centralized manner in space and the degree of aggregation is increasing.The spatial distribution trend of diffusion along the northeast-southwest direction is gradually strengthened,and the overall concentration and diffusion are toward the southeast direction.The tourism industry is spatially related,and its distribution is affected by factors like regional administrative centers,road distribution,altitude and slope.2.Measurement and evolution analysis of tourism industry development level in ice and snow tourism destinations.The development level of tourism industry in Chongli has experienced the development stages of low level,general level and high level,and the growth rate has experienced slow growth to rapid growth.The development level of each dimension of the tourism industry is consistent with the overall development level.Tourism resources has always been the main subsystem that restricts the development level of tourism industry in Chongli and there are fewer obstacles in the dimension of tourism effectiveness.3.Analysis on the evolution stages and characteristics of tourism industry in ice and snow tourism destinations and optimizing and upgrading path of tourism industry.According to theories such as the tourist destination life cycle,combined with the development and evolution of the tourism industry in Chongli,this study summarized and extracted the three major stages of the tourism industry development of Chongli and its development characteristics.Based on the evaluation framework of the development level of tourism industry and the temporal and spatial distribution and evolution characteristics of the tourism industry in the study case,the optimization path of the tourism industry development level and spatial patterns in ice and snow tourism destinations were proposed from many aspects.This study analyzed the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics and influencing factors of the tourism industry in ice and snow tourism destinations,built a comprehensive evaluation index system of the development level of the tourism industry,explored the development stages and proposed the optimization path of the tourism industry in ice and snow tourism destinations,which will help enrich the relevant research on the evolution of the ice and snow tourism destination and the life cycle of the tourism industry in ice and snow tourism destinations,supplementing research theories and contents of tourism geography,tourism industry economics and other disciplines.In practice,it provided the path and theoretical support for the optimization and upgrading of ice and snow tourism industry,offering experience for the sustainable development of ice and snow tourism in the post-Winter Olympics era,the revitalization of ice and snow tourism-driven rural areas and high-quality development of regions.
