With the advent of the era of big data,computational thinking has attracted more and mo-re attention.In 2006,Professor Yizhen Zhou first proposed the concept of computational thinking.In 2011,she once again made an operational definition of computational thinking.In short,computational thinking is a problem-solving ability.Since then,more and more schola-rs at home and abroad have studied this direction and achieved remarkable results.This study focuses on the PBL teaching mode,through the teaching practice of mathematical modeling,to cultivate and improve students ’ computational thinking ability.Based on the research of scholars at home and abroad,this paper first makes a theoretical and empirical analysis of the research status of computational thinking and PBL teaching mode at home and abroad through literature research.Secondly,it expounds the research content,research ideas and research methods of this paper,and defines the concept of computational thinking and PBL teaching mode in combination with this research,and analyzes the relations-hip between mathematical thinking,mathematical operation and computational thinking.The-n,through the operational definition of computational thinking,the five dimensions of computational thinking ability goal-abstract thinking,logical thinking,decomposition thinking,algorithm thinking and generalization thinking are improved,and the theoretical model of “ PB L + CT ”mathematical modeling teaching to cultivate high school students ’ computational thinking ability is designed to guide the teaching practice.After that,through the questionnaire survey method and experimental method,and using SPSS software to analyze the current situ-ation of students ’ computational thinking ability,the analysis results show that the current students ’ computational thinking ability is generally weak,and it is still in the basic stage.At th-e same time,it also proves the influence of mathematics achievement on students ’ computati-onal thinking ability.Then,according to the relevant educational theory,the teaching principl-es,teaching strategies and teaching implementation schemes of mathematical modeling teach-ing under PBL teaching mode are designed.According to these principles,strategies and schemes,typical teaching cases such as ’ attractive ’ preferential volume ’ and ’ best drinking time of tea ’ are designed,and teaching practice is carried out for students.Finally,by comparing and analyzing the changes of students ’ scores in the pre-test and post-test,it is proved that it is effective to cultivate and improve students ’ computational thinking ability in mathematical modeling teaching.At the same time,interviews with teachers and students show that it is nec-essary to cultivate and improve students ’ computational thinking ability.Based on the above content,this study is committed to cultivating and improving student-s ’ computational thinking ability through interdisciplinary training,so as to achieve thinking education and innovation education for students in the field of basic mathematics education,and lay a solid foundation for training talents needed to adapt to the future society.
