| Since new course reform,the basic education of our country has gained the success that attracts worldwide attention,however,I find that some middle school students have a strong sense of self and not willing to communicate with others too much,which results some problems,such as insufficient classroom interaction,lack of enthusiasm in learning,difficulty in identifying with teachers,And then affect the teaching efficiency.4MAT is a teaching method that aims at different styles of learners,helps teachers establish connections with students more effectively,and thus improves teaching efficiency.Therefore,based on the above problems,this paper uses scientific methods such as literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview to deeply study the teaching design cases of 4MAT teaching mode and applies them to practice for effect analysis.The main research contents are as follows:(1)By reading and combing domestic and foreign literature related to 4MAT teaching mode,according to the characteristics of biology discipline and 4MAT,the application steps of 4MAT teaching mode in biology teaching are put forward,which are successively:attracting attention,connecting new knowledge,determining content,informing objectives,promoting learning by practice,applying learning by evaluation,and self-testing.(2)After communicating with tutors inside and outside the school and teachers in the same discipline,teaching design cases under the 4MAT teaching mode were prepared according to the specific requirements of teaching steps.In this study,only two sections of Sugars and Lipids in Cells and Principle and Application of Photosynthesis,a compulsory biology course for high school students in 2019 edition,were taken as examples to demonstrate.(3)Taking 109 students from two parallel classes in Grade one of a standardized high school in Shaanxi Province,where the author worked as an intern,the teaching practice was conducted for one semester.IBM SPSS Statistics 25 was used to analyze the difference in grades between the two classes,and the students’ feelings and attitudes towards 4MAT teaching were understood and analyzed through questionnaire survey.(4)Interview and communicate with front-line teachers to summarize the problems that may occur in the classroom under the 4MAT teaching model: the classroom is difficult to control,students’ evaluation lacks professionalism,and students with weak self-control may be lazy.Through the above research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The use of 4MAT teaching mode can enhance the effective interaction between teachers and students,improve students’ learning enthusiasm,and indirectly improve the efficiency of teaching.(2)Through4MAT teaching,students can think about knowledge in poorly structured fields,reproduce knowledge in well-structured fields,and improve their academic performance.Finally,the following suggestions are put forward for the use of 4MAT teaching mode:(1)Before class,teachers should fully prepare lessons,presuppose possible emergencies in class,and design coping strategies.(2)The learning task should be clearly implemented to the group,and the evaluation should be timely.The evaluation should be appropriate and targeted,so as to avoid the alienation of students’ learning motivation.(3)Monitor students’ classroom performance in detail,guide and help students timely.(4)Avoid formalities,arrange teaching time reasonably,guide students to sum up the key points and difficulties of a class,and form a complete knowledge framework. |
