A Practical Study On Case Work Involving The Difficulties Of Family Caregivers Of Disabled Children

Family care is the main mode of care for most disabled children in their childho od.The family caregivers of disabled children are faced with the responsibility of lifel ong care,we also have to face the physical difficulties caused by long-term care of their own diseases,psychological difficulties caused by anxiety and anxiety,as well as because of social indifference,discrimination caused by the difficulties of social interaction.As an important support force for disabled children,their physical and psychological conditions,needs and services have a direct impact on the survival and development of disabled children.Therefore,it is very necessary to alleviate the plight of family caregivers of disabled children.The research object of this paper is the family caregivers of the children with mental retardation,the focus is to alleviate the plight of these groups in the long-term care life.The study uses questionnaire and interview to explore the main difficulties faced by this group,and then carries out the dilemma analysis and intervention service to the selected research objects by means of case work.The author chose the family Caregiver X as the case subject during the home visit of the"2022 day care service project for severely disabled people in L City".According to the results of the Zarit care giver burden scale(Zbi)and the social support rating scale-SSR),the caregiver mainly has difficulties in physical,psychological,economic and social interactions,the reasons for the above-mentioned difficulties include the imperfection of formal support,the instability of informal support network and the lack of self-development ability.Social workers found that the case owners had individual advantages,important relation ship advantages and environmental advantages after their advantages were evaluated.Following the establishment of the service programme,six case work interventions were carried out to link economic resources,reconstruct the cognition of the subjects and establish a new social support network for them,to open up the main emotional support channels.From the practical effect,the effectiveness of case work intervention in the plight of family caregivers of disabled children is as follows:1.Case services are targeted.2.Social workers can play multiple roles in providing services to clients.3.The case work and the theory of advantageous perspective can be better combined.But there are three things to note:1.There are problems of extensive and insufficient continuity in case services.Social work organizations need to improve the service content and process,provide different services according to the different needs of the case owners,and do a good job of information and data statistics,make services available to families with disabilities who need them.2.The conclusions drawn from the case work are less representative.Social workers should combine the case work with other work and adopt different working methods at different stages.3.Social workers should avoid paying attention to the disadvantage of the case owner and help the case owner to set up the positive thinking mode.
