A Case Study Of Social Work Services For Family Caregivers Of Elderly Living Alon

In recent years,the number of elderly population in China has been rising,and the aging problem is becoming more and more serious.With the emergence of this problem,the group of family caregivers inseparable from the elderly population has also increased,and China's family care structure has also changed with social development.The group of female dominated family caregivers is affected by economic independence and decreases year by year.It is difficult for children to provide support for family care due to school and work,Therefore,the majority of family caregivers are middle-aged men who are about to retire.China's traditional culture determines that the care of China's elderly population is mainly family members.With the change of family structure,the function of family care is weakened year by year,and the pressure faced by caregivers is increasing.The often neglected caregiver group should not only pay attention to the family economic situation,but also consider the basic necessities of the caregiver and household chores.It is difficult to have the opportunity to consider for themselves.Family caregivers receive low social attention.Therefore,social workers should pay attention to this phenomenon and develop it into a new focus.This study studies the case social work service of the pressure relief of the family caregivers of the elderly living alone,and applies the social work theory and practical methods of social work to the whole practical process.Before and after the development of case service,the scale measurement method is adopted for the case owner to compare the effect of case service.It is found that the pressure of the case owner has been relieved and the pressure situation has been improved.Research based social work service process has achieved some results.This study can be of practical significance for the research of social work intervention in the group of elderly caregivers living alone.
