| General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward a series of important expositions on national security education,which provided theoretical guidance for national security education and a strong guarantee for promoting the growth of college students.The border region is an important ecological barrier and strategic highland in China,and has a special position in the external geography and internal location.The CPC Central Committee has always attached great importance to the security of border areas,and has made safeguarding national unity and strengthening ethnic unity the focus of its work in border areas.In order to maintain social harmony and long-term peace and stability in border areas and promote the stable development of border areas,national security education should be fully implemented in the school education system to enhance students’ awareness of national security.To this end,guided by Xi Jinping’s overall concept of national security,teachers and students of some colleges and universities in Guangxi as specific research objects,on the basis of fully sorting out and analyzing policy documents and related literature on national security education,this paper conducts empirical research by questionnaire survey method and individual interview method,investigates and studies the current situation of national security education of college students in the region,explores the existing problems of national security education of college students in border areas,and then explores and analyzes countermeasures and suggestions for strengthening national security education of college students in border areas.The national security education of college students in border areas is formed in the context of the complex situation of the times,implementing the spirit of Xi Jinping’s speech on national security education,and implementing the relevant requirements of relevant departments for national security education for college students.Through the field investigation of national security education in colleges and universities in border areas,the positive results of national security education for college students in border areas are summarized,which are mainly reflected in four aspects: the methods and carriers of national security education for college students in border areas are relatively diverse,ideological and political theory courses play a positive role in national security education for college students in border areas,the educational atmosphere is strong,and the educational effect is remarkable.Due to the lack of innovation in national security education methods,insufficient coordination and education of national security education,insufficient self-education and deviation in value orientation of college students in some border areas,and restrictions on local development,there are problems such as the fact that the practical activities of national security education have not been widely carried out,the penetration of national security education needs to be strengthened,the national security awareness of college students in some border areas needs to be enhanced,and the guarantee mechanism for national security education needs to be improved.To solve the existing problems in national security education for college students in border areas,it is first necessary to follow the scientific principles of unifying theory and practice,unifying explicit education with implicit education,and unifying indoctrination education with two-way interaction,so as to enhance the effectiveness of national security education;Second,it is necessary to broaden the educational methods in terms of campus cultural construction,network new media,social practice,so as to enhance the attractiveness of national security education;Third,it is necessary to strengthen the construction of the curriculum system,such as the main channel of ideological and political courses,integration into the ideological and political system of the curriculum,and the establishment of special courses for national security education,so as to expand the influence of national security education;Third,it is necessary to stimulate the enthusiasm of college students in border areas for national security self-education,strengthen self-education,and give full play to the main initiative of college students themselves,so as to improve the effect of national security education;Finally,it is necessary to establish and improve the leadership work mechanism for national security education,strengthen the mechanism for building the teaching team of national security education,establish an input mechanism for national security education,improve the assessment and evaluation mechanism for national security education,and promote the normalization of national security education. |
