| Mathematical reasoning ability is one of the basic requirements of core literacy in the Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition).It is the essential basic ability to learn mathematics well,as well as the ability to learn other subjects and deal with problems in daily life.The cultivation of reasoning ability is an important goal of mathematics curriculum teaching.Circle is an important part of junior middle school mathematics,which can further improve students’ mathematical reasoning ability.Therefore,taking the circle as an example to study the reasoning ability level of ninth grade students,analyze the existing thinking obstacles and put forward effective suggestions to improve the reasoning ability of junior middle school students has research significance and value.Based on Van Hill theory,this paper divides the reasoning ability level of junior high school students with the circle as an example.On this basis,the relevant test questions are designed and the test results are analyzed and sorted out.According to students’ specific answers and interviews and exchanges with teachers,the following conclusions can be reached:The reasoning ability of Grade 9 students is at the middle level,and the reasoning ability of Grade 9 students is mainly at Level 1(analysis)and Level 2(non-formalized deduction).On the whole,the overall distribution of reasoning ability of Grade 9 students is normally distributed.The reasons for students’ thinking disorders are as follows:(1)Students don’t have a solid grasp of the concepts and properties related to circles.(2)Students’ ability to understand the topic is weak.(3)Mathematical logic thinking is not rigorous,mathematical language expression ability is weak.(4)Students can’t find a breakthrough,don’t know how to do auxiliary line.(5)Students are not good at applying mathematical ideas and methods.(6)Students’ attitude towards mathematics learning is not correct enough.(7)Lack of necessary summary and reflection process.Finally,through sorting out and analyzing the causes of students’ thinking obstacles in the process of mathematical reasoning,combined with the relevant knowledge of education and teaching,this thesis gives relevant suggestions to train and improve the mathematical reasoning ability of junior middle school students. |
