In 2016,General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized the synergistic relationship between ideological and political theory courses and various courses at the National Conference on Ideological and Political Work in Colleges and Universities.2018,General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed again at the National Education Conference that the concept of health-first education should be established.Since then China’s university physical education curriculum Civics has opened a new educational process,physical education majors practice professional education and cultivate the moral thinking and rational ability of college students as the goal.This study takes the integration of physical education majors with the elements of Civics as the starting point,investigates the current situation of the construction of Civics in physical education courses in six colleges and universities in Guangzhou,summarizes the existing problems,puts forward optimization strategies,and provides reference opinions for the construction of Civics in physical education courses in colleges and universities in Guangzhou.This paper uses literature,questionnaires and case studies to investigate and analyse the current situation and effects of the teaching of physical education courses in six universities in Guangzhou,summarise the problems in the current construction process,and summarise the main models,guarantee systems and construction achievements of the six universities,from which the experiences and shortcomings are extracted.As a typical case study,the current situation of the construction of curriculum thinking and politics in physical education,some cases of the implementation of curriculum thinking and politics and the experience of outstanding teachers are analysed.Finally,the optimisation strategies of the curriculum thinking politics of physical education majors in Guangzhou universities are proposed,and the following conclusions are drawn from the research and analysis:The six colleges and universities in Guangzhou City have their own unique models of curriculum thinking politics in physical education;regular teacher training activities are conducted;the teaching methods and contents of curriculum thinking politics in physical education are recognized by teachers and students;the system of safeguarding curriculum thinking politics is formulated;model courses,model classes and model projects are introduced;to a certain extent,the development of curriculum thinking politics in physical education in colleges and universities in Guangzhou City is promoted.The School of Physical Education of Guangzhou University is committed to building up the brand characteristics of curriculum thinking politics of physical education majors,and carries out the construction of curriculum thinking politics of physical education majors in six aspects,namely,revising talent training programmes and syllabuses,establishing model curriculum thinking politics courses,compiling excellent cases of curriculum thinking politics,declaring model projects of curriculum thinking politics,and building up excellent teacher teams.There are certain problems in the process of carrying out the course thinking politics of physical education in Guangzhou universities,mainly in the following aspects: the mechanism of mutual promotion in schools is not perfect;the elements of course thinking politics are not sufficiently explored;the evaluation system of teachers is not sound;the content of course assessment and evaluation is not comprehensive enough;the number of construction achievements is small and the level is low.In order to ensure that the construction of physical education course thinking and politics is more effective,the following six optimization strategies are proposed: strengthening conditions and policy incentives;improving teachers’ thinking and politics ability and building a team of course thinking and politics teachers;fully exploiting course thinking and politics elements and innovating teaching methods;improving teachers’ evaluation system and teaching evaluation content;strengthening course thinking and politics research ability and enriching course thinking and politics construction results;building a platform for teaching and sports teachers to communicate In addition,we will establish a case bank of curriculum thinking and politics in physical education.
