| Speech Sound Disorders are common speech disorders in children with language retardation, hearing impairment, cleft palate, and intellectual retardation. They not only reduce their speech clarity and intelligibility, but also have a serious negative impact on their social communication and interaction.Children’s phonological problems are not only affected by the articulation organs, but also closely related to the lack of mastery of phonological rules.A large number of studies have shown that phonology focuses on the combination of various erroneous sounds, which is crucial for children’s speech and language learning,as well as their reading and writing abilities. However, currently, the treatment of children’s speech problems mainly focuses on articulation training, with less attention paid to the effectiveness of phonological awareness training in their treatment.Based on this, this study will explore the characteristics of phonological awareness and phonological production ability of children with speech disorders from two dimensions, and the correlation between them.On this basis, phonological awareness training will be added to the regular articulation training for children with speech disorders, and a set of targeted and systematic phonological awareness treatment strategies for children with speech disorders will be explored based on the characteristics of children,And verify its effectiveness in clinical practice.Study 1: Correlation between phonological awareness and speech production ability in children with speech impairmentA total of 30 children with phonological disorders whose common language is Mandarin Chinese at the age of 4-6 years were selected to evaluate their phonological awareness and speech production abilities using Zhang Qian’s "Phonological Awareness Assessment Tool for Preschool Children" and Xu Shuai and Wang Jiaying’s "Articulation Phonology Assessment Tool for Preschool Mandarin Children",respectively.A sample of the subjects’ speech was collected using the task of imitation repetition and auditory recognition, and the correlation between their phonological awareness and speech production was analyzed. The results show that:(1)From the perspective of the correlation between the accuracy of initial consonant production and phonological awareness at the word and sentence levels, there is no significant correlation between 4-year-old children with phonological disorders; The correct rate of initial consonant production at the word and sentence levels in 5-year-old children with phonological disorders was only correlated with the total correct rate of phonological awareness(p<0.01),but not with the correct rate of each item of phonological awareness(p>0.05);There was a significant correlation between the correct rate of initial consonant production at the word and sentence levels, the total correct rate of phonological awareness, and the correct rate of alliteration awareness in 6-year-old children with phonological disorders(p<0.05);(2)From the perspective of the correlation between the vowel phonological process and the alliterative phonological process at the word and sentence levels, only 4-year-old children with phonological disorders have a significant correlation between the sentence lingual phonological process and the alliterative phonological process, and 6-year-old children with phonological disorders have a significant correlation between the sentence lateralization process and the alliterative phonological process(p<0.05).Other words and sentences have no significant correlation between the vowel phonological process and the alliterative phonological process(p>0.05).Study Two: Development of phonological awareness therapy strategies and their application in children with speech disordersIn this study,14 children with speech impairment aged 4-6 years under Mandarin Chinese were randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group, with 7 people in each group. The efficacy of phonological awareness therapy strategies was verified through a two group pretest and posttest experimental design. The results showed that the experimental group significantly improved its ability to produce initial consonants of words and sentences,as well as its overall phonological awareness and various sub item abilities(p<0.05).The control group only showed significant improvement in the overall ability of phonological awareness(p<0.05),while other test indicators had no significant changes(p>0.05).After treatment, there were significant differences between the two groups in the accuracy of initial consonant production, total phonological awareness, alliteration awareness, alliteration awareness, and syllable awareness at the word and sentence levels,as well as in the training differences between the two groups(p<0.05).It can be seen that phonological awareness therapy strategies can improve phonological awareness and speech production abilities of children with speech disorders more than conventional articulation training. The innovations of this study are as follows: 1.By evaluating the phonological awareness and phonological output of children with speech impairment,we not only explored the characteristics of phonological awareness and phonological output ability of children with speech impairment aged 4-6,but also explored the correlation between the two;Based on the characteristics of phonological awareness and speech production ability of children with speech disorders and their correlation,a treatment strategy for phonological awareness, which is suitable for articulation training for children with speech disorders, was proposed and validated. |
